Gp: 16 vs 18
Damage: 192 Vs. 240
The Lucky Lightning enchantment, which gives a chance of a lightning bolt striking your opponent and causing 10% extra damage is the only thing keeping Silver bolts from clearing being the superior choice.

For those who don't have Overloads, how often should one refresh their stat boosting potions? I feel like if you wait too long you lose a lot of DPM, and that the first 2 or 3 minutes give an excellent boost. Just to put it into perspective, I get kills at QBD ranging from 2 minutes to 2 minutes and 15 seconds. I usually repot after the second kill, so each dose of Grand Ranging usually lasts me 2 kills. Would I be better off taking a sip at the start of every kill? I get about 4 or 5 kills per trip and I don't use the consumables she drops to extend my trips.

If you're starting from scratch, just play osrs. The only people that play rs3 are 14 year old normies or aging failure NEETS mindlessly grinding away towards Max Cape. Based on what you stated, I'd assume you want a more interactive game. You'll get more of that from OSRS. But be warned, no free 99s. Generally everything.
OSRS is a backup from 2007 that has had private server tier updates, and that's about it.
And, because reddit loves autistic grinding, they refuse any updates that make xp rates at higher levels easier, even though runescape's xp/level system is exponential, meaning that, I think, 96 is 1/2 of the way to 99, the highest level in most skills.
RS3 on the other hand has had major changes to the way higher levels are trained making them much less cancer.
For the record, OSRS compensates for this by having no anti-bot measures, while RS3 has an "advanced" detection system that no one knows what exactly it does, but it works.
Most of the players in OSRS bot as a result.

What the vast majority of people here probably will never admit to is that if they had been given the option between playing OSRS/RS3 (our accounts were forcibly upgraded to RS3 because os wasn't a thing back then), most would have chosen old school. It's the climbed too far up a shit mountain type of deal. No one is going to restart on OSRS when they're 400m+ deep in rs3
