I didn't have enough fuel to start but this seems like it works as the brit event. Also the premo actions (Ham and symbiote) seem to require some sort of wanted poster you get from the first one.

We have to unlock Black Cat by battling the Lizard and relying on the resource-based missions, which may or may not give rewards based on RNG.
We also have to battle the Lizard to unlock both him and Cap's costume.
And we have less than seven days to do this?

No, they changed that before the update. The only thing we know that relies on exclusives to this point is Spidey, but who knows, you may need them for Lizard or MJ or Otto or Gobbo or some part of the event in Episode 3 or 4. After all, exclusives are listed at level 1 in the workshop, as well, so we might need to level them up and use the higher level ones for other shit.

From what I can understand, the item loot pool is the amount of items you could get. Looking at the missions there's guaranteed loot pool and chances, so there's RNG. Also seems like it will have a lot of different missions that will cycle randomly from a mission pool as well.

Tested it for a bit. Octobot issue is still a thing so I need to go back to the regular client to clear them before I can check if rushing fuel is possible, but rushing everything else seems to still cost shards, even event generators that used to have free rush on the last version.
So far the only things working fine are free premiums on the store (still no antidote generators though) and instant missions
