I'm actually 3-0 in my placement games, but I've got 6 total games listed, 3 losses. The first 3 games I tried to play in competitive, someone on the other team left immediately and the game was ended. I'm guessing that's where the losses are coming from.
Why in the world do they count games ended because players left, not even on your team, as losses?

Not them but it was going around on Tumblr for a while. Jumping grandma. You can charge her jump for up to three seconds and be sent into the air for a while, and I think one of her abilities was a stun staff or something? That worked like McCree's flashbang, except it only worked on one person.
Her ult is her spinning around in a circle and stunning anyone she hits with it. Sorta like Death Blossom, but with le stun staff.

Is speed of ranked gain or loss partially based on how fast you win or lose? It seems long games cause smaller changes while quick stomps cause entire levels worth of changes. It might explain the discrepancy on Koth maps.

Just look at the levels and ranks in your games for the next 5-10 games and you will see that their is a connection.

Maybe it's because I'm low rank, but I am advancing roughly 0.75 to 1 per victory and losing 1 per defeat.
Which still means that in the long run I'll be downranking like crazy, especially since my performance doesn't seem to mean shit for how much I get de-ranked. Don't burn wraith form too early in a fight, it can screw you over really heavily when you need it. It's primarily an escape tool, so try to keep it for that purpose, if you want to use it to engage, make sure you won't need it to come out when going in.
Just back up. Reaper needs to be close to deal his damage, so create as much distance as you can. Follow him when he uses wraith form as long as you won't die doing it, as it pretty much negates the escape, also be aware that there's a second before reaper is fully out of it where he can take damage, using this you can get in the first hits and give you an edge against the edgelord.

Tower Defense style mode where the attacking team has to capture small areas around the map to spawn stronger omnics to push into the enemy base. Defending team can build fortifications around their base and upgrade their weapons/defenses whenever a control point is captured by the enemy team.

If you win a ridiculous amount you'll be brought up against others with higher skill until you consistently lose, this is now your mmr and you'll start winning about 50 percent of the time because you're up against people of your skill level. Same thing in reverse.
