Well, she's a monster in general, but in the final VN they actually play the neat trick of making you think she's just a shy cute moeblob, only to reveal what a broken, miserable, dangerously deranged animal she is once they've trapped you in her route. Which is pretty insidiously clever and produces a lot of fun butthurt on /ksg/ four years after the fact.
But I wanted to make a route where she looks and acts like the mad dog she truly is. So here we are.

Second language classes are not compulsory here in the States, sadly enough. I've taken two years of German at uni, and I'm pretty much teaching myself what I'm curious about. Mostly I'm just trying to remember the definitions of words, but the grammar can trip me up sometimes still.
You aren't missing out on our education system btw, it's pretty shitty. My state's governing party has stripped public schooling of most funding to the point where we had a town hall meeting in our capital to discuss whether or not public schools will even open next semester. That should give you a pretty good idea of where education standards are at here.

Interesting - it's weird to imagine that there are no compulsory second language classes, here in Germany even the lowest tier of education (9 years school in total) includes English classes. I myself learned two languages other than German in school (highest tier with 12 years, English and Latin) and I could even have chosen to learn a third one.
