Did they really nerf dosh gain on long mode?
How bad is it now? I never felt like dosh gain needed a nerf, the ammo change makes it so you need to spend a fuckload on ammo so nerfing dosh means you won't have a whole lot of money to buy extra weapons for the boss wave.
Honestly they need to go back and balance bosses again. Bosses aren't that difficult to beat in practice, they just require you to unload a fuckload of ammo into them and if people start dying the difficulty comes from a battle of attrition rather than an explosive action packed fight.

First up is movespeed and damage.
Then you have to look at team composition - if your team has someone to take cafe of the big guys, like a sharpshooter or a demo, you can take care of the trash - the Nailgun and Eviscerator make short work of big crowds, and the Evis can even help you with the Big Guys.
If you need to take care of the big zeds,pick another class, Berserker is really awful at the moment.But if you're back is against the wall, you can grab the Pulverizer and try to smash big zed heads with it. Just remember to block occasionally, or you'll die really fast.

So here goes, the Stalker is a short, invisible, acrobatic women. The challenge she poses to players is seeing them and not getting hit in the face by their moves. While them being more of a threat might be what you were going for, the implementation of her is counterproductive to this and makes it confusing when she is able to take a DBS shot pointblank and be fine.

I'd try to put some emphasis on the idea that nerfing the player's power isn't the best way to make things more fun and challenging. Head to the cheat engine forums and look for the KF2 cheat table, pick that up and use that, you need to change the value for 25(or whatever level you) from 0 to 1, then make sure to checkmark the box on the left of the level otherwise it wont work properly.

It's not viable without a huge amount of kiting space and not being interrupted. You'll need about 2 mags of a scar (when using large mags) to kill them on your own.
You're better off assisting whenever you can.
I suppose the method you could use is do a little predamage(makes it slightly more forgiving), reload, then spray into his head, fp rages, let the fp hit you once then bash him to get some space, run back, reload etc, then repeat. You'll need to make sure most of those bullets are headshots too.
If you can get emp or a stun it gets easier.

If they really want to make the game harder, why won't they give some zeds special abilities from PvP? When a group of zeds spawn, make one of them an alpha zed, which has more hp and special abilities like: Clot - enrage other zeds, Slasher - can move in real time in zed time, Crawler - long jumps and gas suicide when near player, Stalker - more evasive moves, Gorefast - blocks his head with the blade when he's in slow moving stage. They already have all the animations, scripts or other shit, they only need to apply it to AI Zeds. No need for some stupid resistance system, knockback or reducing earned dosh. They would make the game harder and more fun at the same time.

Why do I keep seeing people in pub games who try to zap things with the microwave gun from ~100 meters away? I've always thought that weapon had a pretty obvious visual cue as to when it's actually hitting a zed, but maybe I was wrong.

It was plenty useful to Commando before you just kept that skill on for the early stages and never had to buy ammo after exhausting all of your AR-15 ammo which let you get SCAR/AK by Scrake round on Long easily.
Now you may as well keep that skill on at all times because it increases weapon swap speed as well and the Commando's job isn't to stun but wipe out trash so Impact is really only useful for soloing.

Alright, i tested this in testmap with 6p on HoE.
Using scar with 30 rounds. If you have full armor, it's doable. but you'll go down to like 30 armor after one FP. This was done using large mags, backup, extra health/armor, 25% damage perks.
You basically spam bullets at the FP's head, then before he attacks you, jump. The knockback and jump combined will give you some space away from him. Run and heal/reload, then repeat this.
I think you need to do it around 3 times, less if you can headshot more consistently than me.
You can probably incorporate nades into this if you're more skilled than me but i'm leaving it at that.
You can also do it with around 50 armor but still very risky. At 0 armor you're fucked unless you got some healers or something.
Some things to note is that this assumes there is no trash around, which is incredibly unlikely. This was also done offline/solo, so this might not be 1:1 with online.
For scrakes, just grab an m14 as >>146972918 said, stun it, then spam your scar while it's stunned. If you can't stun scrakes don't bother, it's like fighting an fp but 10x harder, cause of infini rage and how much their head hitbox moves.

We're working on new AI behaviors that will make her more of a danger but she will drop quickly from all damage. I remember playing with /kf2g/ on HOE in April 2015.
I remember being easily the worst player in the server, I remember dying literally every wave.
But I was earnest and I fought hard as a Berserker, often acting as a meatshield to keep other players alive by my deaths, so I was tolerated.
Now 550 hours later I've crushed HOE more times than I can count, and I can help turn a bad game around with relative ease.
Now I roll into local servers and people recognise me. Now I'm the guy who you can depend on to clutch it every time. I'm the guy who other people look at and say "Damn Jimmy, how does he do it?".
I was inspired by those old /kfg/ players. Sure some of them might have been strange or irritable or just plain crazy, but they were great.
Even if I had to be carried from Wave 1 to Hans, I was proud to do my part and play with /kfg/, even if I couldn't do much.
If the good old days could come back to us, and all the players too, I'd love to show them all how far the humble player they knew has come.

I might be wrong, but I think back then HoE was more intense because zeds were coming at you all the time, there was no time for a breather. Now I think the spawn time has a cooldown between each group of zeds appear, so you shoot, reload, shoot and repeat the process, when back then I hardly had time to reload. And I think every zed was always sprinting at the beginning, but now only a small handful of them is running to rip your guts out. Just check the time, midwave 8/10 and it's only 40 minutes, while now it will probably take almost an hour to get this far.

Basically they've actually made the game easier by adding more content. The only exception I can think of is how they butchered parrying, which made it "harder" to pull off simply because 2/3 of all big zed moves are lol flashy unparriable shit xD that you can't do anything about.

Holy fuck, I just realized how long it's been since anyone actually WANTED an update from this game.
At first we wanted more content because SURELY TRIPWIRE CAN RELEASE IT IN A TIMELY FASHION? WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG?
Then we realized the average wait time for a single actual update is 2 months.
Then we realized the game gets WORSE the more they update it.

Firebug still gets perk XP for killing Crawlers.
Fire is still less effective than x1.0 against Crawlers.
Microwave is still less than x0.5 even though they said they were gonna get rid of retarded resistances like this.
The ONLY enemy that has a resistance to any damage type lower than this is fucking Hans who takes x0.1 from toxic damage. Even the Husk takes x0.5 from fire.

I might be wrong here, but Hans was always only dangerous when he went melee. I don't remember anything else that was a threat.

Strafelocking was a thing
The game was harder back then, that's pretty obvious, but what it was is Zerkwalling Beta Lite version, where you had Zerker in front tanking, healed by the Medic and everyone else spamming AA12s. The meta was pretty braindead.
