Planning to buy Nepu Buran tag zombie shit or estival plot tomorrow. What to expect?
>>146863545
It's a big hit in Japan, selling out 4 times now on amazon and is still out of stock in some places.
They're planning to restock like 1-2 days later, though.
Personally I find it really interesting.
>>146805860
Got it yesterday and almost done with the first dungeon (like 5 hours). It's indeed a pretty quality game so far.
1) Story part is frequent and pretty long.
2) Fully voiced.
3) Dungeon exploration is good.
4) Mechanics are refreshing.
5) The fantasy theme ties in quite nicely with the story, dungeons and mechanics.
Some negative part I can think of for now is the combat can be a little slow and some of the mechanics feel questionable.
In particular, I'm not sure if they will work well towards the mid and late game, or necessary at all.
There is so many stuff that I'm still getting tutorials every now and then.
The dungeon exploration is probably the one that I liked the most so far.
In this game, the traps actually kills you.
At the start you're forced to fall through a pit fall dealing like 10% damage.
The next time you try your luck in another pit fall you go all the way down and you die instantly.
It also has events in dungeons. During your travel, you will meet with various characters where you can interact with them.
Apparently there's a karma bar as well, so I assume later on your decisions will have ramifications.
You can also break walls to reveal new areas.
Typically you only have around 15+ tries per run, so it's kind of fun to choose where to explore.
I think there will be other dungeon mechanics later as well, hinted by the game, but I can't be sure yet.
Together with the fantasy theme they really make me look forward to the explorations.
Interestingly there are no random encounters: you can see the enemies (a.k.a. Etrian Odyssey style), unless you're inflicted with certain status via traps (which is one of the dangers of the dungeon). I wonder there will be FOE-like enemies later on as well.
>>146870036
Top one is best
>>146870101
>In this game, the traps actually kills you.
Oh shit.
1-3 more rayman
4-6 Geki noire
7-9 Sorcery saga
0 Disgaea
Finally, time to start the game. But I remember from Burst you could choose your outfit from a few basic ones. Wonder what happened to that.
>>146870101
How is the story?

>>146870625
Dumb hat.
>>146870704
Don't worry
I almost finish
>>146870836
Tiny hats are cute, the thing that ruins the character is the glasses.
Has anyone tried Broken Age? I'd like a second opinion. I like point and click adventures. Well, I think. I like Clock Tower, and that's point and click.
>>146870101
Can you explain some of the mechanics that you feel are questionable? Regardless, this looks interesting. The in-dungeon events somewhat remind me of SMT, and being able to see enemies within the dungeon is pretty cool.
>>146870235
Yeah, I got careless and went for the chest.
In this game you simply return to base when you're wiped, so there's no game over.
However, interestingly they made a form of perma death in this game (not really).
When you are dealt critical damage or is wiped, sometimes parts of a character's body is lost.
As a result, her abilities are crippled and can't fight well.
The repairs are pretty darn expensive, so you can't afford to be reckless.
However there's no game over so there's no worry of a complete loss of progress.
The parts are the four limbs and head (and body I think).
In particular, if the head is lost the character is gone (cannot be revived) until you repair it.
It's a pretty interesting design.
Fits in with the theme (characters are dolls) as well as the drpg culture (or having some kind of perma death).
>>146870036
We can't change gender mid game, right?
>>146870101
Would you say this is akin to Hundred Knight in setting/tone?
>>146870050
Nep Zombies is short like Nep U but with a greater variety of characters and customization options
Estival Versus, once you add the patch, is clunkier than Shinovi Versus in terms of combat
Load times feel more worthwhile than SV since the maps are more spacious however they are more frequent during cutscenes
Ass n' Tits don't interrupt battle flow as much as SV
New poses for Shinobi Transformation prevents dull ass and titty shots from characters with long skirts and no tits
Worse characterization and writing than the other games in the series
>>146870625
You can't change them on creation but are already added in the terminal
>>146871017
The first part of Broken Age (what they released before asking for more money to complete the game) is decent, but the second is rushed garbage. Tim Schafer hasn't made a good game in years. The LucasArts adventure games he worked on are superior in every way.
I finally did it, Vitagen!

Bought it last year. It's alright, but it gets repetitive, and it's pretty easy. Chapter 9 is horrible. It's a nice card game, and for 2 bucks, I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Pretty disappointed, as that's pretty much the only game I was going to buy, but I guess that's a possibility.

Decisions decisions
>>146870674
The story has two aspects in my opinion, in terms of appeal.
The first part is obviously the actual story, which is pretty simple at the start:
You're just here, by request, to explore the labyrinth.
However, they made it interesting by hinting (strongly) a few mysteries at the start.
For example, one of them involves the history of the Witch.
The second part would be the characters.
I'm not sure how to put this, but I think the two main characters quite well done.
Ruka is basically just damn cute, while the personality of Doronia the Witch kinda makes her behavior unorthodox and hence interesting.
>>146871152
I didn't play the game, but from the synopsis of Metallia feels like she's similar to Doronia.
>>146871046
One example would be the bonuses during battles.
When you deal more damage, you get just a bit more mana for that battle.
It's not really something that you can control though.
Plus, the % seems low enough that they don't feel like they do anything.
On the other hand they aren't a nuisance as well.
>>146871646
I can't imagine it's much worse, most of these Japanese games on Vita/PS4 are just Vita games being up-rez'd for PS4
>>146872445

>>146873260
I did, but it didn't show off the game's qualities very well. I'm tempted because I'm a sucker for cute girls and dating sim elements in RPGs, but I've heard many people say the combat and the dungeon design both suck balls, though I didn't get that impression from the demo.
>>146873602

Christ my wallet. Currently looking at the following but I may drop Noire and Tetris. Tetris just feels like something I should own on every platform though.
And anyone know what the deal with Broken Sword 5 is on Vita? There's a page for the 'game', and then there's this Episode 2 which is on sale for whatever reason. Is the 'game' is just Episode 1 despite it saying nothing about it being an incomplete game in its description?

And the game runs like shit on both PSP/Vita anyhow. Least Legends 2 has no slowdown issues that wasn't present in the original.
So week 2 sales would go up on the 5th, right? I'm going to use a psplus free trial for this so I want it to bleed into week 2 in case there's something good.

Google PSDLE, it's a plugin that makes the download list on the website as good as it should be

Hey anon, Final Fantasy Adventure is one of my all time favorite games so I just sat around and played for an hour and a half. It is a perfect recreation as far as level design goes from what I remember. The updated audio is pretty great but there are some low quality issues I noticed like when Julius and The Dark Lord are standing by the waterfall when your character is listening in where the waterfall will clip on its loop and shit but otherwise it's solid. I don't care for the art style too much and there is very little detail added to it. The controls are fine and you don't have to do any touch shit except for mapping shortcut buttons to items (unless I haven't figured out how to do it through buttons but it is a very minor thing anyways). I don't remember the main character being named Sumo or the girl being named (probably misspelling here) Fuji but if I remember correctly you could only input names at 3 characters on the Gameboy version. I still believe they had default names that were different though but I might be wrong. The first thing that struck me as really weird was the fight against the giant cat beasts in the arena right when you start was much easier than I remember but otherwise the difficulty seems the same elsewhere. Another thing that seems different is you get to pick one of four class upgrades each time you level up and you can switch each time. Monk is an example and it will give +2 to vit, +1 to strength and +1 to mind or some shit like that. I seem to remember being able to freely upgrade individual stats upon leveling in the original but I haven't played in a few years so I might be off on all of these things. Overall it is a very solid port I guess the only issue I have is that I would have been just as fine if they ported the GB version. They didn't fuck anything up but the new presentation is pretty barebones and lame.
>>146876757
So, wait for sale?
This is bullshit I'm just four dollar away from getting blanc but I can't get it without losing more then I need.
>>146877101
Well it depends on if you are a fan of the series or of this game in particular (it is the only Mana game I've ever enjoyed but it is top 5 of all time games for me). It is a budget price and it is still a solid game just not much of an upgrade in anyway (which means they didn't fuck anything up so I'm not complaining about that either). I don't regret buying it and I think everyone should play it if they haven't played the original before but I don't think anyone will be blown away by the presentation.
To that anon that really liked the song in Caligula, here is the next one that plays.
Thank god, cause I was getting so goddamn tired of it too.
I find this one much better

If next month's ps plus games are good, I'll get that, plus a ton of games on sale
If not, then ZTD + GER, and eat ramen noodles for the rest of the month
>>146874595
>I have no idea what the sales are yet, my vita is arriving tomorrow. Any advice on what region to get PS plus on?
US probably
>Steins;Gate
Great
>P4:Golden
Also great
>Conception 2
Please don't. Try the demo first if you still want to buy it.
>>146875551
I honestly don't even care about the games, I only use it for online saves and discounts
So are people here jumping on GE:R or is it kind of old news for most since it's been played already.
>>146877331
I see, thanks
>>146875551
There'd be fewer people subscribing if they did that, so I doubt it's going to happen.
>>146867770
>>146867850
Jannu defeats Ion once again!
>>146877496
I bought it, I thought the PSP version was pretty good but it was through emulation so I kept forgetting about it or getting bored after a while. I'm pretty willing to play a 7/10 game if it is on my comfortable Vita in my comfortable bed but I'm not terribly excited about it either. I bought Adventures of Mana, Cell Damage and GE:R at the same time and so far have played everything but GE:R but it'll get some love in the next hour or so
>>146877496
Well most people played it years ago, or havent played it at all
20 dollars for a remake of a psp game is decent, Odin Sphere was a remake of a ps2 game and was 40-60 dollars
So no Rage burst for Vita in the USA?
No nana?

>Conception 2 is mocked and panned by everyone even by vitagen
>poor anon still wants to buy it anyway
>>146877708
Digital only, August 30
>>146877349
I really can't understand the gameplay of this, don't you have limit of movements that you can do per battle or something?
How are the fights against bosses?
Also, I like this song a lot more than the first one.
>>146877496
Since its all digital, I'd rather just wait and see how they handle the steam release.
>>146877961
I thought only GE:2 was getting a steam release, not R?
>>146877780
It's not very good, but there are tons of shit people love here that are equally bad
>>146877780
>>146877464
I'm scrapping the idea of buying Conception 2.
>>146877349
Bow waifu a cute
>>146878000
Bamco went full retard, they're essentially planning on bundling R with Rage burst at the same time, but we don't know the fine details.
>>146877828
Each character has a limit of 3 actions.
Each character also has an SP pool that gets depleted depending on the action.
Timing is everything, so spamming the same move over and over won't do much, plus buffs/buffs also make a huge difference.
Counter-hitting enemies also does huge damage and allows for juggles.
Boss fights/hard enemies are pretty damn intense.
>>146877780
I still find it funny that despite all the bullshit fanservice games this device has, Conception II is where people draw the line.
>>146878007
I liked it. It was a solid 6/10 game.
>>146878021
I don't blame you for that decision. Get Freedom Wars anon. I would love to kouken with you. Disgaea too, if youlike grinding and tactical RPGs ala FF Tactics or Tactics Ogre
>>146874595
Don't forget there are a lot of physical games that you can get dirt cheap now. If you don't like all the weeb shit that'll be recommended here I'd recommend Ninja Gaiden and Little Big Planet as they're both very cheap games to get physical (plus they're great)
>>146878021
Same. I guess $10 is still too much for it.
>>146878267
I would tolerate it better if the gameplay actually was hard or the we had JP dub honestly. Dungeons are meh but serviceable. The characters and overall design of the game and OST were pretty good. But the game hardly was an upgrade from the first Conception. It was nearly a port with a new story and different characters
>>146878021
Disgaea, Trails of Cold Steel are pretty solid.
You seem to enjoy visual novels. How about Danganronpa or VLR? Remember that Steins;Gate 0 is coming in August
Also, you aren't welcomed on vitagen if you don't play at least one Atelier gameI'm just kidding
You could also try Demon Gaze or other DRPG
>>146878464
Hotshots Golf, Lumines, and Wipeout 2048 are also cheap physical and good games.
>>146878270
Okay, I'm getting Freedom Wars, worth getting it physically or is it on sale or something?
Looking forward to playing with you if it ever happens.
>>146878464
Noted.
>>146878529
I'm planning on picking up Disgaea, Trails of Cold Steel and Atelier Sophie (maybe)
>>146878608
>Okay, I'm getting Freedom Wars
Nice. Get physically if you want. You probably can get it pretty cheap nowadays but it does get as low as 10 bucks on the PSN when the sales hit.
>>146878507
I'm pretty used to the concept of RPGs with dating sim elements being easy and not nearly utilizing their gameplay potential, if that's the case.
Despite all, it really doesn't sound like a bad game. I could pirate the 3DS version, but that looks really shit in comparison to the Vita one.
Fuck it, I guess I'll buy it, the girls look cute. That'll still leave me with $35 to spend in next week's sale and $40 to save up for Refrain.
>>146878464
>Ninja Gaiden
Just don't get Sigma 2.
>>146878594
>Wipeout 2048
If you can find it from someone not trying to jew you out.
>>146878849
To be fair, I thought the port of Sigma 2 was fine, damn shame the game is trash though.
>want to get GE R
> don't want scamco thinking they can just fuck me in the ass without lube.
I'd get the ps4 verson but playing a hunting game on a console is shit.
>>146878946
>I thought the port of Sigma 2 was fine
How? It runs like shit, unlike Sigma.
Speaking of Conception II, why the fuck is it so smooth on the vita?
>>146879021
Because the developers made it well?
>>146879019
Have you played it? I hear that stated online a lot but didn't notice it in my playthrough
>>146878780
It's a decent meh game. Gameplay is kinda boring though. You can speed up battles and there's not one single glitch or bug and I never suffered a crash on it. In that regard is better than many games that get released nowadays. Also the game is colorful and stylish as fuck and the music is damn catchy.
>Fuck it, I guess I'll buy it, the girls look cute
This too. All of them are pretty good waifus. But Serina is the best.
>>146878162
If the SP pool goes to 0, are they unable to do a thing during the rest of the battle?
>know Neptunia is a bad game
>but it's only three bucks
Which one do I get that's the least trash?
>>146879147
It's game over
>>146878756
I just bought it on ebay. Apparently getting it new in Europe costs like 40 euro's.
Should have it in 5-6 days.
>>146879093
>but didn't notice it in my playthrough
I don't think you were looking hard enough, but you can compare it to Sigma(Or Black) and see a difference.
>>146879169
3 dollar shit is still shit, anon.
>>146879147
You have to charge your SP and that takes up a lot of time and leaves you vulnerable.
You can do a long charge or a short one.
>>146879021
That's one if the best points about Conception II. No bugs, no glitches no slowdowns. The coding is top notch. It's light years above anything NIS ever shat out.
>>146879216
Wat. 40€? I bought it brand new for 25€ day one.
>>146879303
>That's one if the best points about Conception II. No bugs, no glitches no slowdowns. The coding is top notch. It's light years above anything NIS ever shat out.
yeah but it also sexualizes children and I don't support that kind of thing
>>146879303
too bad everything about the game screams kusoge.
>>146874517
Please more Refrain pics, anon
>>146879303
There's only one shop selling it in my country and there it's pretty much 40 euro's. I got it on eBay for 15 though.
