I don't really care too much about the wanker on Reddit. I would prefer it not to get crossposted over there, but once it's out on the internet, it's pretty much free access anyway. I think it's rather cute that he made no claims that it was compiled by someone else elsewhere, but what can you do.
Mostly, I'm just lazy. It takes a bit of work to keep that thing updated. I started it because I saw a lot of HS pros sharing decklists, and over time my Twitter "base" grew, as people would retweet or follow others, or I would stumble upon decks. It also requires a lot of searching for top users on the leaderboard, which leads to a lot of dead ends.
You may see an update in a few hours, today, tomorrow, or maybe never. I haven't been nonexistant – I've posted links to Blood Control decks, updated Sword decks and Purgatory Forest decks, but most of the other decks have remained relatively the same, so I'm not sure how dire the need is anyway. If you main a class and you're that interested, just follow existing players and see how they've changed their deck.

The original style is simple enough, so they don't need to deviate unless Makoto is breaking into animation. But I'm somewhat worried that they'll try to push use of live2D for the majority of it, like they did with the music videos. Night Horde is super handy if you play aggro-based because the two bats give you nice options for controlling an early-mid game board. It's not all that good once late-game comes though, even if you can get it bat-boosted.

Spotlight is taunt/lure effect. In the dogs' case, they'll follow you around as long as you don't attack them, and dig stuff up if you take them to the right spot. Works best if you don't bring a helper, since they'll attack it.
In Chaguma 2016, there were some desks you needed to get that way. In tennis event it gets you a few extra tennis ball runes, but it's not really worth the extra time.
For building max levels, it sometimes says in event announcements. Best to just check wikis.

I'm fairly certain like at least half the people here have no experience whatsoever with card games at all honestly.
They netdeck because they really have no fucking clue how deckbuilding works so it's both the safe, convenient, and usually optimal decision for them.
For the people who have troubles liquefying stuff it'd probably be super helpful though as they're probably nowhere close to a full netdeck.
I'd imagine an intro guide would go over the basic three playstyles(aggro, control, midrange), basic concepts(tempo, card advantage, value), and some more specific stuff like board presence, wincons, and mana curves.
I'd attempt it, but I was completely new to card games before Shadowverse.

Also, I ran into a earth rite mage in unranked and it was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Just play a standard list. I look at it as having two 'archetypes', similar to Druid. You can ramp up to things like Seabrand Dragon, Forte, Cavaliers and Genesis and ruin a control player's day, or you can just run a more taunt-heavy build that's more well rounded.
With the cards you've shown, I would just run something like this, but of course Zirnitras are probably better than Forte in this case.

The only cards doing any actual discarding are Den, Dragonewt and Shenlong. Shenlong is a 7 drop. If you do not draw your 5/40 cards in the early game, you're going to have a rough time reaching 30 shadows, and I cannot see this deck consistently activating Path to Purgatory more than even a third of the time before you win or die.
But hey, of course test it out and play however you want.

Fuck those blob guys at the end of stage 7 in BGHS senbatsu event. They resist regular attacks, and they run away while skills are going off. Compound that with how their attacks knock you back, and they are extremely troublesome. Does anyone have any tips for those guys?
