Silla losing her ace means that every single team dependent on her to be able to function (because all other rainbow aces are shit and only megawhales can afford mono-color teams) is now dead in the water. Her entire identity becomes void.
Nobody uses Silla because of her pass strength, it's shit. They don't do it because of her totems, or her ATB heals- those were just a bonus and even without them she'd still be exactly where she'd always been. People use her because of her ace. Because without her ace, their teams don't work.
And running a mono or even dual color team gets more expensive every day. Every time BB touches drop rates, it's to make them worse. WORSE. While ADDING MORE PLAYERS TO DRAW. The combined effect of this means that even boosted rate players have abysmal drop rates, Season 2 players are a pipe dream, Legendaries are a fucking illusion, and getting the person you want in scouts is even getting harder.

I'd like to go out of my way to just congratulation BB on a job well done designing these two characters, on a artistic and gameplay standpoint. BB catering perfectly to everyone's taste with a delicious brown, helpless elf, not to mention Angela's perfect tummy and clothing selection.
As for a gameplay perspective, there is absolutely no two better role models to showcase what true balance is in this game, these two characters featuring such clear and obvious weaknesses as well as strengths.
On an end note, thank you BB for all your hard work over the years, and especially thank you for bringing us Silk and Angela.

I just had a match in Galaxy, against a team running a Ravian/Balth/BD/Silk front line. Very annoying. But also very irrelevant. Ravian shot at Angela probably 12 times, and you know what she did? Nothing. Literally, nothing. Her crits, with 5 stacks, couldn't even break 300 damage. This is with well over 2k dribble per shot, more if Balth passed. About 3k on active.
Between Linmay and Angela's heals, 88% DR, pen and crit damage reduction, and Chitose, they broke even every shot. Ravian's little tickle balls might as well not have been there.

Elemental draw is back so you're in a good spot if you actually want a mono team. Your chance of drawing the exact character you want is 3x than if you were going rainbow and you have one character that you need.

That's a bold statement. I have no reason to believe that since I've had Silla as the only off-colour in a non-Light hybrid team, and it was her totem power that got nerfed, not the ace effect. SillaLuka wasn't exactly used *because* you went Rainbow or had Silla ace.

I have zero clue about the effect of the weekend drop rates to say if it's better or worse for sniping out a particular player, but there's absolutely no arguing that weekday draws < mono draws if you're actually going for an honest Mono team. The issue with WW/Dark is that it's limited in its strength, but also pretty easy to build. Kiki, Magnus, Silk, Linmay, Meiran and Neraizel are all great and S1. Meanwhile for Light you need Beth and Duke just to make a good mid, Cheetos (S2) is also a backline staple.
WW has a strong backline and that's just about it. Silk midline can work, but Victoria, Light and even some Thunder midlines can still trample it.
