The elephant in the room here is KDR. Everything in this game revolves around the Kill to Death
Ratio and the biggest reason for this is that you get more rewards for killing than you do from
actually accomplishing objectives. The problem is so prevalent that a player is constantly driven
to do cheesy things to get kills because the game, in its current state, revolves around trying to
get as many kills as possible. You never login and say, “Where is the frontline at?” Instead, you
login and say, “Where is the farm at?”
Simply put, KDR must be flat-out removed from this game in order to promote team play. As
it is, the game places far too much emphasis on KDR. When you press tab, you see how many
minutes you’ve been online, how many kills you’ve acquired, and how many deaths you’ve
accrued – all of this is displayed prominently to the player. What you don’t see are total heals,
base captures, Sunderer deploys, Galaxy Drops, Ammo Resupplies, or any stats which promote
team play. You could be an objective orientated player, but you are not rewarded for that.
Team play doesn’t promote KDR; as a result, team play is not pursued in a game which requires
team play to win. Because of the lingering shadow of KDR, which influences players whether
they admit it or not, players are less likely to actually push forward to an objective, sacrifice
themselves to accomplish important goals for the team, and less likely to perform support roles.
As players simply won’t get as many kills winning the game, they’ll instead resort to cheesy play
that seeks to “farm” players for kills for as long as possible.

I have that gigabyte 980 ti and the fans are high pitch noisy, I would rather go with one that has two bigger fans. I didn't update the bios on it, and the one it has tries to keep the card under 70 Celsius, I think they changed it to 80 in the later revisions so it might not be as noisy but it will run hotter.
Another thing is that is doesn't exhaust outside the case, the back of the card is blocked, so you need really good ventilation inside your case.
I also replaced one because it coil whined like a motherfucker, though it usually goes away after few months.
Also don't expect it to overclock as high as in reviews, Gigabyte always sends them cherry picked ones, they actually don't put binned chips in their cards.

Here's a pretty much exhaustive list of its uses:

No, horizontal tolerance can be thought to represent two horizontal tolerance values, the left and right HT(horizontal tolerance). HT is basically the x-axis of the COF. The HR(Horizontal Recoil) is what the HT is going to be divided by. Dividing half of the HT value by the HR can predict the max amount of times a weapon can kick in a direction.
So for the carv, the HT is .9, so the left or right HT is .45. Its HR .213 or something like that. When you divide .45 by the HR, you get 2.14, but a weapon cant really recoil in decimals, so it just rounds up to 3. So the t9 carv without a grip can recoil to the left or right 3 times max. But since the carv and butcher recoil randomly L/R, itll bounce all over the place.
We currently dont know how the forward grip reduces HR or HT, but I assume its HT or maybe both. For some weapons, it doesnt make any difference. But for the carv, adding a forward grip can make a big difference. If it lowers the horizontal tolerance by 11%, approx .8, and you take half that value and divide it by the assumed unchanged HR value, you get 1.9, which means only 2 kicks in the same direction max.
Although the carv still has a disadvantage because of kicks left and right, most weapons suffer from this. But it is slightly more accurate then without a forward grip.

So, where is the air rebalance patch? It has been on the PTS since mid May and there has been no air related changes since that. In fact, there were no changes to anything for a month. Then they started adding more stuff to the PTS again. I think they were originally talking about June release and it's almost July already. ESF's are like the Harassers of the air. Harassers counter other Harassers similar to how the devs intended for ESFs to counter other ESFs. But ESFs are just more frusturating cause they can fly. Harassers can be whittled down with infantry fire, but ESFs can easily escape.
I dont think nerfs are needed against ESFs. Air should be a power to fear. I think the devs need to stop listening to the shitters and give the players more buffs against ESFs so they have a feeling of power over them.
Nerfing shit always turns the weapon to shit and barely unusable. Just look at the striker right after they took away the lock-on abilities. Straight shit.
Look at what buffs can do. Battle rifles are still shit, but the "buff" of adding underbarrel attachments made them slightly more used and more noticeable on the battlefield.
If the devs really want to pull shekels out of us good goys, they would make even the shittiest weapon decent.

Still have the same PC I did back in 2013 and it's just such a difference. This is how the game should have been released. Also noticed the building features. Not "team damage", but actual total damage. NC is dealing roughly the same team damage as VS and TR do - we can see they have pretty much the same teamkills. But NC's total "team damage" ratio is twice that of VS or TR.
Which means NC is doing half the actual damage they are.
And since that team damage statistic was posted by a daybreak employee and it wouldn't been incidental to have seen what the total damage was; the fact that there wasn't a comment about NC's damage, or any balance issue at all, is extremely concerning. NC have weapons like the Gauss SAW, providing the bestest damage tier and a high magazine size. When new players play, they don't realize that a person is shooting/running across their line of fire, and get/give instantly headshot (if they were already low health) or serious damage (if they were not)(note that I have no evidence to back this up)

If 1 team kill = 1 team damage (for the sake of sane numbers)

Now this isn't purely accurate - some things require more team damage, or less. An infil requires 900 damage to kill, a tank requires idk probably 6000 or something. But it's unlikely that NC is going around teamkilling a lot of tanks and very few infantry compared to the other two factions.
From the attached pic (which was posted by a daybreak employee on reddit recently), we see that NC deals about 2x as much team damage as VS or TR do.
So if NC deals 14.49% of their overall damage as team damage, with roughly the same number of team kills as VS who do only 6.81% of their overall damage as team damage, we find that the total damage NC is dealing must be half of what VS is dealing:
2,918,124 = 14.49% of x; solve for x = 20,138,882
NC does 20.1 million damage overall, of which 2.95 million is team damage.
Solving for VS and TR:
VS does 42,850,573 damage overall, of which 2.92 million is team damage
TR does 33,558,370 damage overall, of which 2.86 million is team damage
It is impossible for promptcritical to have put this data together without seeing the overall damage done by each faction, so either he's intentionally ignoring it, or there is no large discrepancy in overall damage.
The problem is that nobody is actually tracking the overall damage except for daybreak. We can't verify any numbers, so we can't know if they're aware of it and intentionally ignoring it, or if the issue doesn't exist.
But we do know that there is a huge discrepancy in the win% between NC and TR/VS, and if the above were true, it would go a long way to explaining that discrepancy.

I also think it's very worth pointing out here, that promptcritical very explicitly DID NOT include the overall damage done as part of the statistics he posted.
That data is basically obfuscated, and were it not for the fact we have aggregate data on teamkills that was available before he posted the team damage stats, it would've been impossible to figure out how much overall damage each faction has done.
So are they intentionally fucking hiding it?
Yeah, I think maybe they are. I really don't like the fact that promptcritical left the overall damage out of his post and then ignored the comments asking for that data.

looks reasonable enough for me, but I suck at math. but I'm not sure this data is applicable to alert wins though. if you look at the alerts for the last 48 hours, as these are the only ones that show kdr, it certainly doesn't look like there are enough correlation between kdr and who won for there to be any significant causality.
and if your numbers are correct then NC somehow still get very similar numbers of kills to the other factions even though they should do half the damage, which doesn't make sense

also looking at recent alerts they all have a kill to teamkill ratio of between 2.7%-8.7%, with them mostly around 3.5%.
so if the team damage stats are right then 14.49% of the damage only causes around 4% of the total kills or something like that, which again doesn't make sense
