Tried using Kefka for Hastega other than Divine Guardian, but Mages are just too bad. One story mission is an an easy way to get a Pig which is a pain to get otherwise, I remember that much.
Can't remember which mission it is, though. I know you're fighting a shitload of Chocobos in it, but I don't remember when exactly it is.

But as far as good units go, I don't think there are any. The only thing some enemies have is good gear, and you're better off trying to steal that. The Attack UP passive boosts stealing chances for some reason.

Can someone help me understand how pulls work in RK? My understanding is that you have a 13% chance of drawing a 5* relic. And a 1% chance at a featured relic such as Cecil's Excalibur. My understanding is that 1% chance is a part of the 13% chance to draw a 5*. So doing an 11x draw gives you an 11% chance of drawing a particular relic. Is this right or is my math wrong?

You're mostly correct, but depends on the relic. Some of the less valuable relics tend to have boosted drop rates (not sure if this applies to the BSB banners since those have more featured relics than the typical event banner) so you'd have a higher probability to get one of those. Thyrus on the XIV banner tomorrow is a good example, being the grand prize on that banner while also just being a regular, non-SSB relic so the odds of pulling it are actually not bad.

You'd have to take the chance to get a 5* at all, then the chance that the 5* you get is off-banner, and then the chance for each and every possible off-banner 5* item to actually make it comparable to the numbers given here, which is a 1% absolute chance of drawing a BSB. There's not enough annotation or explanation for it, and 1.5% seems at best a likely estimate for your chance to draw 1) a 5* that 2) is off-banner, but then doesn't explain how it determines what you get from there.

So I gave RK a try and I'm really not satisfied.
People here talked highly of it, like it was a decent game but when I got there I was met with hilariously unbalanced shitfest full of pay walls and p2w (which was to be expected, since mobile) that old fags had a ridiculous advantage over new ones.

The game allows so little build creativity inside it if you're going for any sort of serious / highly rewarding content that you're forced into these specific builds or to be severely gimped otherwise, having to spend mithil on revives and sometimes even that won't allow you to beat the time limited event that will award you make or break equipment.

I'm not sure how you guys do it (outside of waifufags doing it for the waifu of their laifu), because with so many good FF games out there, that are balanced (even if broken at times), fun, with stories to cater to many tastes I just can't find a reason to justify spending time is this severely limited skinner box.

So please, outside of waifufaggotry, why are you still playing this game? Because I find it unlikely you wouldn't find more fun and less frustration in other FF titles. Almost feel compelled to think there's some sunk cost fallacy at work here.

They are, but how damage medals are determined is based on how much total HP you have at the start of the fight. So if you enter with less than max HP, you'll lose damage medals quicker even if you heal up immediately.

I got the scene where you talk to Rikku on the deck at 95% which is supposed to be the "you're on the road to 100%" scene AFAIK.

Then I went down into the hole in Besaid. Cleared the bosses there and got to the flower field.

Then I went down all the other holes so I could get the Megiddo Garmet Grid.

Then I went into the portal to the final part of the dungeon.

Then I cleared that area out and solved all the puzzles.

Then I saved, saw the point of no return warning scene, then went back and saved and went back to the airship because the guide told me to. Supposedly, that is where you get The End Garment Grid when you've completed the Bestiary, but I hadn't (and that isn't required for 100%) but I did it anyway.

Then I went back into the final dungeon and went and beat the final bosses.

I mashed X at the flower field and told the Fayth that I wanted to see the Star Player of the Zanarkand Abes again.

Then I watched the ending and credits.

Then I only got the good ending and 99%.

No, I'm actually taking a break from playing a variety of FF games and FF remasters cause I picked up DA: Inquisition on Origin's "Oh shit Steam Sales in a week, everything's 50% off" annual sale.

I think it was... in Chapter 3? Or 2 maybe? I forget. But at the very start of the chapter guide in a little blurb, he says "Don't forget to follow Nooj to get the Crimson Sphere!" but doesn't give any context whatsoever for WHEN or WHERE you're supposed to do that and then DOESN'T include it in the guide section where it actually fucking happens (Mushroom Rock). He literally doesn't mention the scene at all. He tells you to go straight to the end of the mission and never mentions that you have to go back to the Den of Woe and find Nooj there. It's only in that first little start-of-chapter blurb, with no extra details.

Not getting the most significant Orb Fest in RK history.

The Big Bridge Orb Fest isn't an ordinary orbfest. It featured every single type of orb, including Summon for once, for 2 days each in groups of 3, rotating whenever a new Big Bridge boss came in.

By removing it they've basically SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the grade of Hones that global will have compared to Japan and made it significantly more about having played forever and a half to be doing top content in any way.

That sounds awful anon, I tried to 100% the game as well too and stopped toward the end of chapter 3 when after using two guides (same ones as you are, and I can attest to their sub par quality) and cross referencing I had missed something and was .2 off. At that point I didn't care.

Maybe there's some compilation post that has all everything that counts for 100% and you can cross reference for that on NG+? I'm sure there's also some version of a X-2 guide for the ps2 that's more accurate then the HD ones.
