Not to side with Melvin, but I think there's at least a slim chance Lancelot could fight Herc as long as Lancelot picks up new weapons for every attack. Since it's not only A-rank NPs that are effective but rather it's A-rank attacks in general, and an attack made with A-rank strength is an A-rank attack, Lancelot can perhaps damage Herc as many times as Lancelot picks up a new weapon. It depends on whether God Hand would build resistance against Lancelot's A-rank strength itself or if it would just build resistance against attacks made with whatever weapon Lancelot has KoH'd.
I'm not sure if that would work, it's very possible that it wouldn't.
