As long as you get all the objectives, you will get bronze. You can wipe as much as you want and take as long as you want, as long as you get the things in the quest traker with the bronze medals next to them, you'll get it.

They don't build buildings, they build vending machines and buff/bonus granters at certain "outpost" beacons. They disappear after a set amount of time.
Settlers are arguably the most useful in group play and you get bro points for leaving things that strangers can use to get various buffs, but their gameplay mechanics are ass and a half. Wander around looking for glowing junk (literally) to pick up, build shit at a beacon, rinse, repeat.

wildstar has gotten a lot of shit, but most of it was for 2 years ago at launch and it's better now. their f2p/steam launches really helped and were actually good
to be honest, the different factions start out separately but converge pretty fast...around level 20 I think? as far as zones go at least
on the bright side this means you can just roll an alt to see the other faction's content quickly. endgame stuff is again sort of split with different important characters so...ignore what I said and just level 1 on each side to cap to see it all, you're asking about story so clearly you care. roll scientist for even more lore tidbits

Honor is just something they instill in their own people because they all believe in it so strongly.
They were probably happy to have found a race even stronger than them.
They likely see serving the Dominion as an opportunity for their own people to become stronger by learning from another race that just straight up bested them in combat and proved they still had room to improve.
Draken get stronger and learn from the Cassians and the Dominion gets aid from a very deadly group of lizards, it's a win-win so why wouldn't they want to willingly join?

Well, this is where Draken tradition comes in.
Draken didn't really thing something could best them in single combat when they came up with their space spartan stuff, so it was more the Dominion exploiting a loophole rather than the Draken willingly deciding to join.
Also, the fact that the Draken are happy as long as they kill stuff or die trying is not part of my point, the point is that they're effectively soldier-slaves to the Dominion.
They still don't give a flying fuck about the Eldans, as they still worship their old gods, and have no real attachment except the fact that they're honour bound, which is pretty incompatible with all the Dominion ethos.
Now, they're pretty much the military elite, and that's true becasue of the Dominion meritocracy system, but it still doesn't imply the Draken care, and are there of their own free will.They're still cool tho

I'm sure that their interest in the Eldan doesn't extend further than a mild curiosity about how they're seen as a superior race even by the Cassians that bested them.
And that's only if the Draken even care to learn enough about the Eldan to find out that they weren't always considered to be gods and were only assumed to have ascended to that point from being just as mortal as everyone else when they left Nexus.

Engies are unpopular because Warriors and Stalkers are much better tanks, everyone else has much better DPS and their support abilities aren't really necessary if your Medic, Esper or Spellslinger is competent.

Spookybutt gives you the main quests, the game suggests which zone fits your level and the zone quests progress you through the regions by level by level, regional quests are zone quest sidequests in each region and path quests are discovered as you explore zones.
Just answer your communicator when it beeps, it'll automatically give you appropriate quests based on level and location and use the buttons at the bottom of the quest tracker to hide path missions and challenges when you aren't trying to do them. Doing everything is just for completionists and lorefags, just powerlevel until you hit 50 and do endgame content.

To go into slightly more detail, Eldan shenanigans led to setting up a caste system among the humans; those with Eldan blood/lineage are Highborne and speak with a British accent, and those without are Lowborn and typically speak with a cockney accent. A whole bunch of lowborn think this is bullshit, rebel, and eventually form the beginning of the Exile faction.
Both are fighting for Nexus: the Dominion believe the planet is theirs by divine birthright because Eldan, while the Exiles are tired of running and are looking to establish their new home.

The Mechari enforce what they understand is the will of the Eldan, which is by extension the will of the Dominion. They're the ones who brought Tresayne Toria to Nexus to give birth to Dominus the first emperor; they're the ones who run the ICI (imperial intelligence), and they're the ones who make sure the Dominion stays on track.
They're also the ones who pissed off the granok and uplifted the chua, so make of that what you will.

They were created to serve the Eldan, but the Nexus Project was viewed as too important for the Mechari to be directly involved. As the Nexus Project increasingly became the focus of the entire Eldan species and they all began living on Nexus, the Mechari had less and less direct contact with them. Eventually, the Mechari were just carrying out the directives they were designed to without any input from the Eldan. While there are still functioning Mechari who existed during the final days of the Eldan, they never had any direct contact with them, physical or otherwise.
