It's impossible to save the potion market. I doubt ANYONE at IMC has even taken a basic Economics class, let alone their lead designers. Anyone who has could tell you immediately that potions are eventually going to be priced at the amount it costs to make them. And because that's all material costs, nobody's going to make any profit.
I guess that technically because of this there will be people dropping out of the market and lowering supply and therefore the new equilibrium price WILL make money, but as soon as word gets out about that people will re-enter the market and increase supply and blah blah blah
So end result is that potions are just fucked up because of perfect competition and a first year business major (literally the stupidest people on the planet) could have told you that that was going to happen.

Any necros have any experience with it or opinions one way or another? I assume for PVE the fact it's stationary is a dealbreaker.

The number of fragments = your corpse count
The only way to view your corpses right now is to open the Necronomicon
Mybe you could make a plugin that tells you how many corpses in chat everytime you use a Necromancer spell that consumes corpses. Also there's an item called the Fragmentation Jewel which contains 30 corpses, so maybe when you use a Fragmentation Jewel, the chat will also say the current corpse count
