No do not use any Makeup at first.
Making "good" faces is a matter of practice. Most people usually start with something pretty meh, get a feel for skyrims headmesh and low amount of polygons and then improve.
Your face shows no sign of the usual problems some people have (crooked noses, pornstar lips, crazy makeup) altho your hairs do you no favor. I suggest to smooth all those egdes you can see too.
Also a good ENB with proper SSS(SubsurfaceScattering) settings is essential.

Is there a Glossary for all these words I'm seeing like UNP? I've got a week to kill before I can actually attempt to mod my skyrim for the first time on a imac(Bootcamp, I'm not a mac fag it's just I get them for free since my family is nothing but mac users who are constantly updating and leaving behind any older computers that I can scrap.)and all these terms are confusing to me. I've got the lesson not to use steam workshop and use a better mod manager like Wrye Bash, use TES5Edit, LOOT, SKSE, ect ect.
Anyways, I like playing Female Khajiit because of sneaking and shit, but I've never tried out magic, so maybe I'll run a Argonian heavy armor sneak magic user for once, never tried them out. So that brings me to my next question. The Argonians kinda look like shit, and I love character creation. What are some non-nude(Snoopy roommate) female Argonian mod must haves? I love the looks of this one (see attached pic), but it's concerning me that most of the screen shots are in the nude and it seems to require another mod (CBBE) of which I'm quite sure judging by the screenshots may naughty some things up a bit.
Lastly, I keep seeing so many character creation help mods that its incredibly confusing to keep track of them all, and I just dont know what to pick anymore. I've seen RaceMenu and Enchanced Character Edit shilled the most, so what's better?

Body mods are just what people look like without anything equipped as well as a better body model. It doesn't add anything more than that. You won't see bandits raping civiilians or anything. I use CBBE's Nevernude option because I rarely feel the urge to pose without clothes.
I use Racemenu, but I've never used ECE. I might try it out, some day.
There's no Glossary of terms, but UNP and its variants are the "rival" to CBBE. What you should be worried about is UNP's 80 variations, which there is no catalogue for.

I caved in and just got The Journey. Cudn't be arsed anymore to install mods for n'th time and it bloody works. Combat is still pretty shit and I feel some mods were slightly outdated. I had to get wayshrines and mark/recall mods as well (no fast travel for once). Anyone else caved in and went for it just works deal?
Hell I even bailed on Dunpar Wall city I was making back in 2014. It was mostly indoor dwarf cozy style and mushroom induced adventure fantasy deal though. Like modding games it became too tiresome.

I used to make bigger mods, but then I stopped playing Skyrim for a while and now I'm rusty as hell. Getting back into the swing of things with a small one before I start working on the Benefactor mod that I have planned (invest in city to improve it directly).
I have a day job, so it's not going to be a regular thing, and I'm probably going to have to get someone help with the art side of things (dialogue, models, textures, etc), but I plan to make a prototype first before I start asking for help.
After that, I have a much, much bigger project in the planning stage.
