Because of the differences in video game markets. For over two decades, the best fighting game that an American company has produced was fucking Mortal Kombat. We're a country that was satisfied with that shit, and all because of a bit of gore. Meanwhile in Japan, good fighting games are a dime a dozen.
On the other hand, America rocked the PC gaming market from the start, which was the only thing that could adequately run something like an FPS even way back then. This was one of the few things we could beat Japan at in terms of quality. Even now, there's not a single Japanese FPS that can compare to decent American FPS. Because of that, we just have way more FPS players.

Besides, Terumi was the one giving Relius information on how to proceed with his experiments, leading to the Black Beast spilling out of the boundary and Relius being swept in it for some time. I'm pretty sure that although Relius made the vessels like Hazama (whose whole body is an Azure Grimoire) there's fair reason to believe Terumi played a part in it.

Yeah, but it's probably not as good as the Azure Grimoire. Its Soul Eater effect seems like it might be better than the Azure Grimoire's, but considering Ragna's always holding back its power, it's hard to say. The Original Grimoire only stores and accumulates power, releasing it all when XBlaze is activated. The Azure Grimoire directly accesses the power of the Azure itself. So that alone should be a big difference.
That being said, the corrosive effects of the Original Grimoire might also be higher since Touya seems to have a greater danger of being consumed and corrupted by it. Then again, maybe Ragna's just got a higher resistance to it due to his being stronger.

Naoto plays like some sort of rushdown character with broken legs.
He has crappy hurtboxes and is terrible on whiff for his range. He has drive moves like his blood lance thing which he can feint into a run up throw or reset the blockstring.
Max charge drive moves can break guard but can't be followed up without meter. I think this is less so during OD. It's also embarassingly easy to avoid.
His 2D? and j.D seem to be the best at area denial but you're wide open attempting to charge it so it's more of a callout.
His shift sway lets him avoid attacks in neutral and cancel it into certain moves. Phantom Pain, an unblockable, is one. Hits high and is a good combo starter. There's also an attack where he jumps over and does a kick under him that hits overhead, long startup. He can also run through the enemy and end up behind them.
There's also this special Slash Kaid which is some sort of weird, more negative Hell's Fang with more range-

Bloodedge Experience takes place in the past, however CentralFiction in particular takes place in a pocket dimension called the Embryo. The Embryo exists outside of the normal timelines, and the events that are happening there is erasing all other timelines, hence it is seen as a "starting point".
Honestly just watch Naoto's Arcade mode, it explains it better than this, since it's not all that complicated. All you really need to know is that Naoto existed in the regular BB timeline but was killed, and Bloodedge Experience is a different timeline where he survived and a bunch of other shit happened.

All this attention on Izanami really makes me curious on what Mori plans on doing with her. Really depends on the situation. If you mean after cutting Sheer knockdown you can't really go wrong with j.C if they normal tech. Or else stick with 2B since you might catch them sleeping and then convert to another full combo. For DP wise, if midscreen and you have H1 and meter, you can always rapid then 5D and whatever follow up but in corner for DP and with heat, you would want to go for 22D since it side switches. While I agree with most of what you say, it's not like he wasn't at the mercy of the Six Heroes all the way through since being hit by Mind Eater. Sure, Trinity's sympathy for Kazuma meant he had leeway, but he had to really fuck Kazuma's mind up and manipulate his way around everyone. Terumi couldn't move freely in that situation, he was their bitch basically.
Valk gave him a nice scar, Hakumen was sure as shit ready to eliminate him should the chance arrive, Jubei (thanks to Tomonori's eye thing) could supposedly have destroyed his soul. Pretty much all his interactions up until the end, Terumi was under their thumb until Trinity fucked up. He was hit by ME, but like Terumi said, the biggest mistake is what you implied; he and Kazuma are seperate people and they didn't take into account that although Terumi can't make any moves, Kazuma could take advantage of them. Which he did.
As for being lovable, well... I got nothing that isn't personal opinion. Him getting taunted by Izanami in the gag reel was funny as fuck, especially watching him squirm in embarassment. Also, when Relius sent him out to find Ragna and Terumi came back all like 'You sent me out there and you KNEW Celica was probably around?' was also funny. Really cemented how he was low totem on the bad guy hierarchy.
I just think if one were to hang out with Terumi just casually it'd be one fun ride, so long as someone's present to spank him when he gets out of line.
