The rates are great for pre-trans.
The population makes the game very enjoyable.
There are constant parties everywhere.
The economy is alive and thriving.
There is no p2w.
We have a solid guild with lots of active players.
There isn't a bunch of ez mode commands that lower the quality of the game.
I've played on all sorts of servers and Sarah Server is among the best. Fact is, the game is lot more fun when you don't zoom through levels and have dungeon warpers, constant resets, free bg items, auto job changers, free quest skills etc. This is how RO is meant to be a played and it's a lot better for it. Stop being a stick in the mud and come play!

You can get to 99 in a week if you party. It's not that bad pre-trans.
You can get EXP books with points you earn just by playing, and rates are increased to 3-4x during the weekend.
Solo play is still going to be a bit rough, but it's entirely possible to 99 in 2 or 3 weeks with some jobs.

iRO is in a really bad place right now. They focused way to hard on making pay2win things that they have completely neglected the actual game and people are leaving for tree of savior. Currently they are trying to get people back by changing WoE to some degree but so far it's just talk at this point. The pay2win also extends farther beyond cash shop. someone managed to pay off one of the GMs to help them scam some MVP cards off a guild leader. Leveling (at least from 70 through 150) has been reduced to talking to an NPC who gives you a quest to kill 400 of two different monsters and sends you to a special map where those monsters are spawned alongside the two monsters from the previous week (the monster hunting quest changes each week). the reward to the quest are exp and badges you can trade in for battlegrounds badges so you don't ever actually have to step foot into a single BG match ever. After 150 you have bounty boards which are essentially the same thing but less monsters to kill. So essentially you can max out without ever stepping into field or or dungeon.
The "classic" server is no better. It's pretty much run by one bitch who screams misogyny anytime she gets trash talked and systematically gets competing guilds banned any time they do well.
Take this from a guy who is pretty damn close to being done with that place.I only stay because it just doesn't feel right to drop it after at least 10 years of playing on there

After some time they asked to borrow some kiels for WoE and gave a sleipner as collateral. They then refused to return them and the leader filed a report with screen capped proof that it was only a loan and not a trade. The trade was reversed for a until one of the GMs reverted it back stating that it was the leader who was somehow trying to scam the guy who took the kiels by having the trade reversed.

Boosted exp for parties and lots of parties on the same map, so monsters spawn so fast you don't have to roam.
Also, I think they were comparing to pre-re, where you need 3x more exp for a level.

Oh no! If you trans it takes like double the exp. If only there were new places to hunt where you got more experience that would offset that. Certainly, there aren't places in trans episodes where enemies reward 100000 exp versus the ~10000 exp you get per majo pack. That would make too much sense.
