Seeing as how you have to get the 90K over multiple games, its not that hard to get. This week's CoE is pretty easy to do so getting 90k points in 2 games might be possible, otherwise one would just have to get ~30k points per game, which is very doable even on shitty weeks. This week someone LL 300 could probably do it with a bit of effort.

Rank up factions or do the normal mode Kings Fall. NM Kings Fall can give up to LL 320 loot, and rewards from faction packages go up to 330 if I'm not mistaken. Also try and use Three of Coins's a lot, exotics decrypt around your LL.

I switched after the update, it feels really good.
I'm using tripmines with max discipline and the spine, I usually put them on a chokepoint where an enemy can flank me/use them aggressively

Why am I so bad at PvP? Feels like I always fall short against everything.
People seem to perform well with an aggressive playstyle on striker/shotgun/shoulder charge titan, but when I try it out, it never works.
Maybe my mid to long range sunbreaker isn't fit for this meta.
Any suggestions? Would my careful playstyle work better on a different class or should I just stop playing PvP?
