For a single route yes. Some even less.
When you say other VNs are you talking about stuff like Ace Attorney/Dangan Ronpa? If so then a single route in otoge takes far less that a playthrough of those, but individual routes have more unique sections than the slight deviations you get in those types of games.
In general you're looking at 20-30 hours completion time for an otoge.

Finished three routes.
Censoring the sex worked out surprisingly fine, instead other things they censored were awkward. Eg. stuff like the infamous thumb scene were made vague, there's completely rewritten lines, removed countries names that Japan conquered. The right wing extremist's route got a lot of line and word censoring and rewriting throughout it.
They also removed tongues in french kissing CGs. Didn't think that'd be 2lewd compared to other things that make it.
There's a handful of new voiced scenes with CGs. The omake section compiled SSs that were in cool-b, on the blog, and on the website. There's also a profile section.

I'm under the impression though that these ports seem primarily marketed to pre-existing fans. I bought it having already read the PC version, myself, as is the case with every one else I've seen.

Kanjitomo works surprisingly well for me. If that fails, an electronic dictionary with look-up by radicals plus patience and some luck is the next best thing.

I've played Oreshika 2 and it had a shitty story, but since I like the general mechanics of the game I'm now wondering if I should try out the first game.
