Just believe that Max goes back to earlier in the week with a photo (Like the one of them in bed in Episode 3) and uses it to warn Chloe about the storm and tell her they need to warn everyone. She texts David about Rachel and the barn as well. So when she comes to she's with Chloe and they were able to get a lot of people out of Arcadia Bay before the storm.
Or she goes back into the bathroom photo, kills the butterfly, and saves Chloe.

The hopes are that they realized after reexamining the story, and getting feedback, that there were mistakes and that they do not repeat them whenever Season 2 comes out.

Most are memeing of course, but many also literally still don't get that Michel didn't write the game's story. Yes he was involved and helped make happen things people maybe didn't like. But more importantly he was also involved and helped make happen everything else. He's just publically the face for a lot of the things people wanted to have answers for, and when he didn't give them or otherwise didn't appear to want to "apologize" for anything, he's who people developed a grudge against. Admittedly they could have made more concessions here or there (Michel did however recently say in an interview that they know there are things to do better, even storywise and in terms of reading the community), but overall it really cannot be expected of someone to go out and publically denounce (parts of) their own product (let alone respond to literal hate).
That said, there's definitely things they, and him specifically too, just straight-up failed at - both in terms of the game and public relations. His latest crime being that "#Jefferfield" tweet. But they are a young studio, and LiS was their first large commercial "success". It'd be inhumane to despise them for "mistakes" like that. I'm thankful for the most part and excited for a second season, even if the last episode did make me hold a grudgeand even if I enjoy the odd Michelpost.

Christian Divine said similar things in his latest interview, the plan for Season 2 is to look at and listen to the community more. While that may not make them change major things (Because honestly the creators shouldn't have to compromise their vision) it will hopefully at least make them think twice and make sure that everything adds up. So that even if people don't like the outcome they cannot say it makes no sense, as was the case with Season 1.
By choosing new characters and setting they've given themselves a clean slate and as a fan of the game I hope they succeed in creating a cast and setting just as interesting, but this time see it through and utilize the potential fully.

The entire plot of Life is Strange was ultimately nothing more than a kluge to get players to the trolley problem. And it lacked even the logical consistency needed to justify that final choice.
The only thing they did right was the characters, and half of that was probably the community creating headcanons about them.

That sounds like the other side of "gender politics" and "identity conflicts": they kind of look over the fact that we constantly have the potential to change, both just in terms of opinions and physiologically too - yet some of the more hardcore forms of "identifying" include making irreversible changes to your body and mind. It's like they do the same thing they seem to deem fundamentally "wrong" with the black/white-aspect of "traditional" genders and sexual orientations - they assume you are some one thing and that's that. At least from the limited insight I have, it seems as if "changing" genders or sexual orientation is frowned upon in that "community", and it kind if has to be if their concepts want to have validity. Just like the old ones did before them. I'm sure tons of people regret or even feel ashamed of their "sexually experimentative" past... yet I don't think I've ever read or heard of something like that. Like someone going: "That was my edgy homo/trans/fluid/whatever phase, oh my god!"
Then again, I'm entirely too disconnected from that stuff to gauge whether any of what I just said makes sense. In general I wonder why people need that stuff to feel more "identitarily" secure. Always defaulted to assuming you only want to know and be able to communicate that stuff about yourself in order to find a suiting partner, not because it means itself anything for yourself. If you are a guy and feel more comfortable in a female body or vice-versa, that's all it seems to be - feeling more comfortable. As far as I know, usage is restricted to Northern California and further north, Oregon, Washington, and no further east.

In a way we should be thankful the endings were what they were. Since the plan was originally to have Chloe get shot and end in the hospital with an uncertain future (Leaving it up to the player). If that was the case then it would have been pretty clear what the "right" ending was since it really would be not sacrificing anything.
But honestly I was against rewinding the week at all because it undoes everything: Being Kate's friend and helping her, the bonding with Chloe and all the emotional moments, helping others, befriending Frank, etc.
Yeah there was some definitely shitty parts of the week, but there were also some pretty good ones worth keeping.

There's so many factors that deter people from the Bay ending
-Undoing all your actions is not appealing as a player
-It was everyone's first theory and was written off as being too stupid
-No guarantee or evidence it would fix anything
-Doing it out of spite because it came out of nowhere and the rest of the episode was a disaster
And perhaps the biggest one: People got attached the to the characters, especially Max and Chloe, and didn't want to see them suffer more than they had
