Hey,
This is going to be mostly a personal post so don't bother if you are one of those "lel blogpost" kinda people;
I've spent my last 4 years playing this game. I was at an almost-pro level like 2 years ago and practically didn't improve at all since then while everyone moved on. The main reason honestly is that at the start I got to that point really quickly (1000 hours in I was already on par with tier 2 pros) because I actually was open to learn. I have been trying my best to still be so of course (as my lifegoal has been to win TI for years now) but I honestly have no idea how to not be salty and give up at the simplest fault.
Mind you, this was something gradual that happened over the years, I still wasn't this bad 1 year ago for instance. However, the point is that I have become the cancer I hated (and still hate). I still won't feed on purpose or anything mind you but in a mental sense I have no idea how to not give up.
I'm tired. I've tried taking a break and doing other stuff and what-not but I'm even worse at being patient about other things now that I've spent literal years on this game.
On the rare occasion I happen to play with top tier players AND happen to be feeling well I still perform at least on par but yeah, I've simply forgotten how to enjoy this game (or anything else for that matter).

I took a break and when I came back I immediatelly got tilted again. I was hoping I would finally achieve something by playing this game, but it looks like I won't, as I just get tilted every match that I loose, sometimes even the ones I win. I only have 500 matches, which is really low for diamond in sc2, but every match I play now, even if I know that I'm ahead of the time spent:rank achieved curve, just tilts me, be it whatever reason - it results in me just not learning everything and when I finally go on a winning streak, I get crazy ladder anxiety which just ruins my performance. Knowing if you are gonna get invited or not is impossible unless you have performed really well right before an invitation is out for a Major or TI. You don’t know if there is gonna be 6, 8 or even 12 invites so unless you are top 6 (or even top 4 to be absolutely sure) you don’t really know. There are no indications or rules of how Valve think when they are deciding which teams they are going to invite so you can just make assumptions on your own of how they think. Personally I thought that the reason for having the Majors was to get more stability in the scene and that Valve would base their TI invites partly on the performances on the Majors. TI is bigger than all Majors combined so during the whole year you are playing to get invited to TI and I would probably rather play at TI and miss all the Majors than the other way around.
