To add onto this, there are already whales, Cygames is big in Japan, and we're getting content some time in August. That's really going to make the decision for most people, probably.
For now, try it, and reroll. It's fucking easy and some classess don't require legendaries so if you want to say said deck, you can scrap them. (You still have missions to win as other classes though, just like in HS.)

The game itself is decent.
If you're a f2p player, then it's a bit lacking. You do not get the daily gold like you do in HS, which is already pretty pitiful, and the 'arena' is not going to be implemented until August. Without spending money, you're realistically looking at one not-even-ideal deck for a while.

The translation really changes the personality and story of some characters. You don't notice it with the original English voices but it becomes really noticeable with Japanese audio and long lines become two words or something completely different.
Granblue fantasy translation was actually pretty nice if you leave out the fact they fucked with almost every name in game so I have no idea why they decided to go with this in Shadowverse.

The highest ranking Blood player just plays all-out aggro. It seems strictly worse than Shadow/Sword, but it's probably making the best out of a bad class.
Dragon is relatively "slow", but it has drops from 1-10 so it can easily contest if you hit turns 1-4. Rune is pretty slow and does ok but can be hit or miss; it just turtles with spells until it can crank out threats and Space Dimension OTK. Haven is, for obvious reasons, hit or miss and perhaps doesn't see as much success because of it.
Like all the other recent HS-type games, curving out is extremely important.

Attires are just dupes of tanks you already have which can be used to recreate the tank if you for some retarded reason end up feeding her while upgrading tanks.
They can be permanently consumed as well by using the enhancement function offering stat boosts based on amount and rarity of attires consumed.

It's a limit in the same way a level cap is one.
There's no limit on amount of attires fed like there's no limit to the amount of food you can feed a tank.
You could theoretically reach the max attribute amount using blue attires like you could level a tank up purely giving it soda.

GBF is an established successful IP with an existing playerbase ready and willing to open their asses and wallets. Shadowverse, meanwhile, is something somewhat new which does have the RoB draw but hasn't yet established itself proper. It's no surprise they want to invest as little as possible into it before they know whether it will reap adequate revenues.

Usually it can trade up if you evolve it on turn 4. If it trades twice then it's drawing two cards and taking two resources from your opponent, ie a 4-for-1. It thins your deck out to draw more Merlins/your win conditions as well. On top of that it also boosts the shit out of your hand. It is one of the strongest cards in the game.
Even if it has to end up trading into a 4 attack minion, evolving it is still drawing a card and trading up.

Only time I found him useful was when the opponent a bunch of high attack cards on play I couldn't get rid of so I just put him out there to make them suicide into him. They had less def than atomy so they didn't have a choice I guess.

Instead you can wait eons for someone to lay down in a bed, then talk to them while they're lying down. They have two phrases. But most importantly, you can headpat them while they're trying to sleep.

Just spamming Fairie cyclers seems unimpactful unless you have something to back them up, and things like Magma Botanist/Forest Giant don't qualify. This is why I think you need something like Archer/Ancient Elf to have any success at playing this deck - which is still less than impressive. Again, I think Sword/Shadow are much better at this type of thing, but if you find it fun or it works for you, go for it.

Volume 23 requires level 20 HQ, 22 was 19, 21 was 18, etc.
If the pattern holds than Volume 18 should require HQ at level 15. However I'm not sure if it's every volume an HQ level is needed.

Just as I was wondering if /mbgg/ was playing and discussing Shadowverse I see best girl in the OP. Anyone got any tips for Dragoncraft? I pulled Forte from a pack but she seems underwhelming since she typically gets mowed down the turn she's played unless you evolve her.
I got these from my first 10 packs. Is it normal for this game to shit out legendaries or did I just get lucky?

Bane is barely even that good. Spectre is the only one that's half decent, and even then it's not stapled because 2 mana for a 2/1 dies to every one drop.
Evolving a Spectre to crash it in is using up a card and a resource. Every class should have some way of dealing with it easily and gaining card advantage (that's not to say you'll always draw it) or you're playing the wrong cards.

Some play a more midrangey version with less burn (more draw cards, Pluto, Wight Kings, and yes, maybe a Spectre or two instead of burn)

I would say it's Shadow's most important card - more important than Cerebus or Pluto. I can barely win games when I don't draw it. You might not need the full set, and having two leaves you open to opening another in the future. But if I didn't have any I'd probably just be playing Sword instead.

All I know is you definitely want 3 Lightning Shooters, you want 3 Merlins (legendary) and likely 3 Fire Chains (golden) as it's your most reliable form of AoE. It's not a cheap deck to craft.

I like the art and the general setting but I'm really turned off by the fact that even the highest rarity units are 'generic'. E.g. they have generic movesets of their weapon class, generic 'super skill' animation which is present even among some lower rarity ones, common switchskill etc. That's just lazy. If you want to bother with Vampires, I would say Soul Dealer. One of the biggest issues is that unlike basically all other classes, Bloodcraft doesn't have a great way of controlling its own mechanic. Soul Dealer might be the only way in the game to guarantee to put you into Vengeance on demand, and also solves another issues of bloodcraft in the lack of Ward units.
You might also try playing bats, but there just isn't enough cards out yet to make a bat deck viable right now in my opinion.

Most of the JP sites will suck at this sort of thing, especially on day 3 (here's looking at you gamewith), but aggronecro isn't very rushy at all. It's pretty much short of midrange, but a few cards just give you extra reach that a midrange deck might not have. It seems to be the deck 95% of shadow players use, but the Rank 1 and 5 or whatever players were toying around with a more midrangey build. Honestly, they look pretty much the same thing that you want notice a difference most of the time, except a build that techs in Pluto and Call of the Voids are better at dealing with Dragon decks.

Dire Bond is probably your single most important card in my opinion.
Blood Pact, Razory Claw, Blood Wolf, and Vampire Lykos are all pretty much necessary to be able to set-up for or to tap into your vengeance whether it's before or after you drop a Dire Bond.
Your 2/3/4 Drain units and Diabolic Drain are also pretty important since they'll let you play multiple Dire Bonds without killing yourself entirely while being cheap enough to combo with.

You can equip two SS spells on the S sword and shield if you limit break it 4 times so it can become very good at dps in addition to having a block. It also has fast attack speed so you can charge up your spells quickly.

Using them. You will need quite a few Propellants to boost Penetration and Armor Plates to make your Meatshield more tanky + Gun Rammers for Firepower to actually do damage.

Yes, before S6 it takes 3 to make 1 of the next tier. the gains up to S3 for equips are insane for the little amount of work it takes. Be careful with rushing to S4 on common parts though. The upgrades get expensive very quickly.
ex. Plates go from 38->65->95->128. You put 2-3 on each of your meat shields.
Propellant has the same scaling and you are going to need 2-3 for every tank that does damage.

The game is mostly about setting up proper tanks and gear. The beginning is rather easy since the debuffs from the maps aren't that bad, but later... yeah more strategy than one might expect.
SPGs normally have a very high base FP, so they need PEN from Propellant.
ATGs need FP since their base PEN is very high (in the beginning though, PEN is probably more needed).
A Scout LT needs DET for spotting in the Shelling Phase from Binoculars (afair you aren't that far).
For MT/LAV it depends on how they are played/intended, often they are more Hybrid than single class.

Feel free to correct me if im wrong but what I got with my limited understanding of it is thatshe's trying to make friends but her idea of making friends is turning them into undead skeletons that will be with her forever because she thinks that's what friends do.
Also, every character she meets tells her they don't want to die and tries to tell her that her parents are dead and have gone to a faraway place. At the end, the forestcraft girl decides to hit her with the truth and make her come to terms with the fact that her parents are dead but Luna ends up running away.
It feels like Luna is just a lonely girl that doesn't want to accept that her parents are dead instead of being a psycho murder loli that wants to kill everyone and turn them into their eternal servants.

She's really not that great in a burn deck. Use her to duplicate Rabbit's effect and all you're really doing is getting a 4 mana rabbit. Urd's a value card that should be played on midrange or control decks.

The plan isn't to use Urd on Rabbit only, it's to use Urd on Rabbit or anything while having Wights on the field. Granted that's mainly in the endgame, but that's why I run destruction and lots of wards to hopefully get me there.
Early on, Urd probably won't be very useful but can at least generate cards with widow and shadow with just about anything. I've only been testing it out against CPUs right now, but it has been doing okay, for as much as that's worth. I would like to play someone else though.

I think it was about 3 months of playing for me. I cleared 24/4 before the end of the fourth month.
Getting to N6 is a matter of how well you can work on A-team technologies and rush(DPS ammos, Main Tank Armor, Chassis, and Manual).
Story mode progression is fairly simple if you just plan accordingly for each mission as you progress.
Some will require no change, but others will devastate your team with little recourse(6 LAVs).

Maybe this only happens to me, but many times when I get a crash and get back in, the game gets stuck on the "finding match" screen forever before telling me there is a connection problem. Even after I quit the game, I still can't get in with the same deck and have to wait for several minutes.
However, if I switch decks, it loads and I can get back into matches immediately. I can also switch and then switch back to the previous deck and get in without problems.

If you're good at the game, you can go near-infinite in Arena, which is packs in exchange for time. Even playing only constructed nets you survivable income.
There have been players who have hit legend after playing Arena for a 3~5 days and building a cheap deck. I've finished top 3 legend after my 3rd month playing. There's no easy way to compare them.
HS legendaries come at a 0.5% rate, but you can get about 1.5 packs a day. You only need one, but most are also bad.
SV legendaries come at a 1.5% rate, but you get like 0.3-0.5 packs a day. You usually need two to three. Some are bad, but overall the quality is average.
That's not to speak of acquiring other rarities, since I'm still missing a whole shitton of Bronze/Silvers. All I can say is I imagine this will get fixed some in the August update, but until then f2p players are all plebmode.

I'm less concerned about the amount and more about such a disgusting grind existing in the first place. It is the sole reason that HS has has such a big problem with aggro spam and bots since having fast games is more efficient for getting gold than actually winning.
How often you actually get enough for a pack is a separate issue that gets modified by the fact you get more cards and general much better rates out of SV packs.
As it stands Hearthstone is more p2w simply because it's been out longer and there are no methods for F2P plebs to catch-up. SV has an inherently harsher freemium model, but it won't become apparent until it gets older and more cards are introduced.

Sure. All I'm demonstrating is that it's not impossible to hit the gold cap in 2-3 hours. I see through whoever's arguments now why HS' gold acquisition might be paltry, but that's the life of a mediocre player playing bad control decks.
Personally, for HS, I would get about 6.5 cards a day. For the "average player", this figure is probably more like 2.5-5 cards depending on how much you grind. But if anyone is good at arena, they can easily get like 30+ in 3-5 hours. In SV, you cap at 2.4 cards a day.
As someone who just started PW a few days ago, should I be farming the festive event thing as much as possible even if its only level 1? Just wondering since I can clear it but I don't know if it's worth to farm constantly.

Farm it will all the corns you can afford and power level your main and farming teams with the steaks and gather as much dogtags as you can. Those are rare and can be traded for BWMG materials after finishing Vol 18.
That Churchill can tank for you until late game as well if you get her.

Since I have absolutely no experience with card games and don't feel the collective hoarding instinct I usually do strangely. I decided to cannibalize nearly every card not needed for that deck that was linked to make this.
I'll probably regret this, but I don't think I'll ever bother trying to main multiple decktypes in this game.

You still get tons of codons at several hundreds each node when farming 21-4 boss node gives only 200.
BT-7 is adequate early on but when you can craft better N4 tanks easily there are better choices >>146082849
