How fares your empire, /gsg/?
This day in history, June 19th:
1269 – King Louis IX of France orders all Jews found in public without an identifying yellow badge to be fined ten livres of silver.
1862 – The U.S. Congress prohibits slavery in United States territories, nullifying Dred Scott v. Sandford.
1865 – Over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, slaves in Galveston, Texas, United States, are finally informed of their freedom. The anniversary is still officially celebrated in Texas and 41 other contiguous states as Juneteenth.
1944 – World War II: First day of the Battle of the Philippine Sea.

Essos is the birthplace of Dragons and Valyrians
The Continent is home of the Free Cities like Pentos, Myr, Volantis, Lys, Tyrosh and Braavos
Essos is a land of mystery as there is a city of Warlocks; Qaarth. A land of a thousand princes and a God Emperor, known as Yi Ti.
Plains of the Dothraki Sea where roaming nomads of horsemen roam.
Asshai, home to the Shadowbinders and possibly home to the oldest dragon known.
Wanna enslave people and make money? Go to Slavery's Bay. Slaver's Bay houses the three great slave trade nations; Meereen, Astrapor and Yunkai. New Ghis is a Kingdom trying to reclaim it's former glory after the destruction of its ancient Empire thousands of years ago at the hands of the Valyrians burning and enslaving everyone.
And a country island of Dwarves and fucking fish people
Mod is pretty great. Silly shit happens a lot.
I also use Colonize Valyria to rebuild the lost Freehold Empire that was destroyed after the unknown event called the Doom of Valyria.
Valyrian Freehold ruled all the land these three owned with the power of Thousands of Dragons.

>In the 1830s and 1840s national and state societies generated an enormous output of antiliquor tracts, and hundreds of local temperance societies were founded to press the cause, first of moderation in drink but increasingly of total abstinence from liquor. The temperance campaign proved extremely successful, particularly in New England and New York. Most New England communities became sharply divided between drinkers and non-drinkers. By the 1840s, liquor consumption had fallen to less than half its previous level, and hundreds of thousands of men had signed pledges of total abstinence. Much of this change proved more or less permanent—since the mid-nineteenth century, per capita alcohol consumption in the United States has never gone back to pre 1820 levels.

Better than HPM's faulty assumptions and poor balancing. If HPM changes the numbers based on historical data it implies he should know the abstract measurements.
Or, if we're arguing from a gameplay perspective here, lowering the demand is even worse. Liquor was a great factory to build if you were just starting out and didn't have access to wood, cotton, coal, or iron. It's not as profitable as some like to make it out to be and the whole "being dominated by the player" thing makes no sense. Any good with high demand can be monopolized by the player, including steel because the player is naturally better at building factories than the AI.
>I'm not the one arguing that vanilla got the thing perfect am I?
You are the one arguing that HPM's change makes sense somehow.
>You are arguing that he made a mistake and vanilla was right, but you didn't bring anything to back it up

>Which is an argument pro-change on itself
No country became an industrial powerhouse by selling alcohol, the main thing behind industrialization was heavy industry
Stop falling back on memes you desperate retard. Clothing and textiles (the driving force behind the British industrial revolution which takes place at the start of the game) is just as profitable, if not more profitable than liquor. And heavy industry isn't everything, you seem to have this weird distorted romantic view of the Industrial Revolution being all about steel and machinery and such. Guess what - the Industrial Revolution was started by the textile industry. The Soviet Union focused on heavy infudtry a lot, look where that got them. Any factory can be profitable with access to the goods and factory efficiency techs.
>Yes, it was
No, it wasn't. And even if it was, it would make at least some sense because many Victorian governments levied a large amount if taxes from alcohol as compared to steel being a fucking mass industrial enterprise decades before it became standardized and easily mass produced.
>Wrong because the AI actually build steel mills while it ignored liquor factories

K, here's Beornia after some years. Basically, after the Plantagents sort of stayed at their French roots, their oppression of the English combined with their clear support for Catholocism in the Wars of Religion caused a decent number of Protestant Englishment to flee. One of those was to what would become Beornia, the only true English country in existence at 1836.
Lotharinga is a barely functioning ex-colony of Burgundian (predominantly more Frankish ones) ruled by a dictator and torn between democrats and people who want to bring back the Burgundian crown.
Amazonie is a more French-speaking Dual Monarchy ex-colony actually composed of two previous colonies, one extremely opposed to slavery. They have ideas of uniting the continent floating in their minds.

My fool proof strategy for conquering China every time was landing in Guangzhou, mass producing mountain divisions, and investing in strategic bombers. It's costly but it always grinds them down in a timely manner.

Have the mechanics for tradeposts in CK2 been recently changed or something?
>mansion says +3 TP limit

>TP limit still at 1
>get 3 adult children (all in my court)

What am I doing wrong? What determines TP limit now? Everything says it's determined by mansion and number of sons at court, but that seems to not be it. Doge of Venice in 785, if that makes a difference.

They shit the entire place and when authorities arrive, they start bitching and moaning that "I dindu nuffin", that "the man is trying to keep me down" and that they are actually valuable members of society despite they just shitting where people walk and gather
There's a reason we don't have shitposter mods in the OP or why HPM doesn't listen to them or why they are segregated to their steamgroups

Pretty much, if you're an attractive enough nation to move to, you will get immigration. They key is, how much? Especially when you're a large, but lightly populated nation like Vinland or Beornia, you want as many as you can possibly entice.
Fortunately, there are quite a few events that cause people to flee Europe, like the formation of the Danubian Federation, and all the wars that spawns.
