IIRC, Bandit was the most efficient for most pure-physical builds. builds

dsg, i just spent 15 minutes scouring lothric castle for the host i invaded, i was cut off by the game crashing.
I checked everything that could have been a chameleon, checked every nook and cranny for an obscuring ring, nothing. I summoned near the dragon barracks, but the second dragon hadn't spawned, and no chests had been opened, nor anything to indicate progress.
What just happened?

Used to be you could perform weapon arts with 1 fp
So you could empty out your fp then a simple infused weapon/shield would restore a tiny portion and you could use it again
As it is simple infusions restore far too slowly to be useful, which is why it was a significant nerf

nah i don't partake in ganksquadding. after i finished the game i've done many other playthroughs and each time i always run through areas fingered, with 1/2 summons (purple if possible) and WotB equipped. summons who want to help first timers usually just black crystal out, others stay (usually golds). i like to think i'm encouraging more online activity by trying to help out blues get their concordes. more often than not i'm invaded by 2 red and you'd be amazed at how fucking terrible they are. rarely do they work together and rarely do they know what they're doing. even the ones that are using items from way later in the game are just awful. that being said i've had 2 summons, a blue and myself utterly spanked by some reds who were just that damn good at the game (i'm pretty terrible so it's not saying much)you got me to reply to your vitriol, happy?

Sunken's and Iron King's areas weren't too hard and they were short.
You also missed Alonne's memory area, which was also coop. That was on a completely different level than the others though, it's mega annoying.
I liked Ivory's coop area. It was annoying, but it was well designed towards that goal. I like Ivory's approach to longer areas, something I really miss in Dark Souls 3.

Damage output is always going to be a struggle. Focus on getting multiple hits in, straight swords, things like that. Remember, you can two-hand swords if you're just below their strength requirements. At 10 str, you should be able to two-hand weapons with 15 str requirements.

sl1 damage should actually be pretty decent, what are you using?
you can get a Raw weapon and (i think) get it to +2 without any grinding or going into later areas
if you just want to know what weapon to use different things are good for different enemies, but Axe/straight swords/Bandit Knife are the main tools early on
Barbed/ASS/Grave Warden's and everything else are late game items unfortunately

Kirk was actually really dull moveset-wise.
R1s were vertical slams, R2s were vertical slams (and practically useless uncharged thanks to how uncharged R2s worked in that game), rolling attacks were vertical slams.
The guardpoint push as a running attach was neat, and the L2s being a little more flexible salvaged the weapon a bit, but for all intents and purposes, it's just a DaS3 greataxe with some extra flavour tacked on.
Beast Cutter, Wheel, Amy Arm, Hunter's Axe and hell, even Ludwig's were all more interesting strength weapons in BB. It genuinely upsets me that we will never get a meaty, weighty metal stick with a moveset anywhere near as satisfying as the untricked Beast Cutter. That thing was 1H maces done right.

The alternate cancer is Gotthard's L1spam with the bloodring. With high ping, the iframes from the ring will bleed into the startup of the attack so they can spam L1 with impunity. I've even parried it before and had the riposte do no damage because laggy bloodring iframes were still active.

Anris is probably the best luck weapon in the game, since it's a straightsword that breaks 400 AR for a completely minimal investment. It's also boring as fuck because it's just a generic straightsword.
Also note that the luck scaling from the hollow infusion is largely trivial and hits an extreme softcap at 40, basically equivalent to how most other forms of scaling have their harshest softcap at 60. The difference between 40 and 45 luck is usually only 1 or 2 points of AR for most hollow weapons.

Because the way the game handles the added iframes across the netcode is really shitty, and results in silly cases where the iframes continue to be active after they've finished rolling and started an attack. It adds a significant number of iframes, which also basically removes the vulnerable recovery of a roll, even on a good connection.
It's not as cancerous against people with good connections because rollcatching isn't as important as just outspacing somebody, but against shitty connections it basically breaks game mechanics and turns the fight into an incoherent mess of bad hit registry and desynced iframes

The whole "scum out someone's last bit of HP with a bow" thing has been abused extensively in every single game. Bad netcode basically means that you can't avoid arrows reliably without rolling, and can never attack someone holding an arrow ready without trading, so they just hold that arrow when you're down to your last bit of life and wait for you to give them their win. The worst part, of course, is that most of the tryhards that care enough to unironically bowscum are russians with 300 ping to everywhere outside the iron curtain, and you'll take damage from their arrow before they even fire it.
Fortunately DaS3 has some genuinely imbalanced rolling attacks that can catch bowshitters by surprise and fuck up their easy win.

I've already played DaS2 for over 1.3k hours. How dark scaling works in DaS3? In DaS2 i omitted miracles on my pure caster and only increased faith up to 30. AFAIK i might as well not bother with faith here. Does faith need to be higher for dark sorcery? Does it benefit from faith at all?

Dark Souls 1 has better gameplay, but it runs like ass because it's a shitty port.
Dark Souls 2 is better optimized, but it's the black sheep of the series in terms of gameplay.
It has some good aspects to it, but they completely fucked up the basic movement/controls and a lot of other simple things that every other game in the series got right. It feels like some other company tried to make a Dark Souls ripoff.

scholar can have it's graphics downscaled to normal DaS2 graphic levels. But it's actually rather well optimized, both run smoother than DaS1 on my rig.

It's supposed to very forcefully show the player where the way forward is. It's not really intuitive to assume that after killing a boss and reaching a dead-end, you should now go back to some area in the beginning of the game and an old dead end will turn into a ladder to a new area.
I mean, if you really think about it, understanding that you've killed the 3 people you were sent to kill and should now report back to your boss is a sensible thing, but the overwhelming majority of players don't pay attention to minor details like that and you end up with situations like the Shrine of Winter in DaS2, where the intended course of action after completing an objective is too subtle in its direction for the vast majority of players to figure it out.

They increased the stamina cost and recovery of the rolling L1 on gotthard's. It still does more damage and has more range than the twinspears, but it has longer recovery and takes more stamina now.
If I'd go for a dark damage build, why would I ever want to use the Deep Gem over the Dark Gem?

Deep is to access dark damage with no stat investment. It's basically Raw with dark damage.
If you have made that stat investment, there's no reason to use it over Dark. That's be like making an AGS raw on your 40/40 quality build.

Not him, but there's what felt like a much larger difficulty spike between NG+ and NG++ than NG to NG+. By NG+++ you reach the point where you actually have to be afraid of getting hit, because even bosses like Vordt can 2shot you.
The difficulty increases cap at +6 I believe, but there isn't much of a difference between +3 and +6

Seems barely noticeable with the recovery time in all honesty, stamina doesn't really seem affected (with 37 endurance I can do 3 rolling L1's in a row from full stamina with each).
The nerf to the gotthard rolling L1 recovery time is so slight I don't think it's even worth considering, it's like maybe 2 frames more.
Are jailers the cutest enemies in soulsborne? They do a little shimmy whenever they're all tsundere, have pretty masks, and huggable bodies
