On turn 1 with the field empty you can summon it as a level 3 to make Ancient Fairy Dragon (ABCs float when used for synchros) which pops your chicken game or hangar and adds another field for more searches and pluses, and special summon more of your unions and gadgets from your hand.
If you're going up against an established field you summon it as a level 4 to make a field wiper like Scarlight.

No, I suggest to stop kneecapping decks and just embracing the tier 0 bullshit. When a deck can out nearly anything and is consistent enough to never brick and access any card in the deck at just about any time, you eliminate nearly all random chance from the game, and only leave it to the players to build and play their decks properly. Leave the possibility for players to add techs to give themselves an edge as well, but leave decks the ability to answer those as well if you're prepared for it. Techs should be an advantage, not a guaranteed win even if the opponent anticipates them.

Only a small portion of the topping decks are build to counter the opponent's strategy. (Talking about portion of a given deck, not of all decks as a whole.) The majority of the deck is dedicated to it's own strategy. And often the part of the deck which is for the opponent is just some twin twisters and some solemns. Each deck is built to be able to handle a variety of situations. This can be seen in the choice of extra deck options. Main deck solutions to opponent's problems are very versatile. Sure there is not enough side deck space to prepare for imaginary format. But no one is playing imaginary format matches.

Galaxy + field + Gadget
Field search C. Summon Gold summon C attach B overlay into Geargigant. B search A gear detach C search Any light machine Discard A + what you searched with Gear Gigant with Galaxy Soldier. Transmodify + Union Hangar
Probably the most basic combo in the deck.
Union search B, Summon B attach C.
Transmodify B into Galaxy soldier, Galaxy Soldier search another copy of himself and seach A with B.
Galaxy soldier discard A then summon Infinity and ABC.
End +1 with Infinity and ABC on field.
Basically open Field or Terraforming and you can do some good shit. There are more combos, but these are the most common.
