I wouldn't exactly describe myself as like flowey, I don't actively hate everyone, I just don't really care about anyone or anything anymore.
There are few things I feel passionate about anymore, music gets old after a day or two, I'm complete trash and I can only get quick buzzes from things like ramen and coffee.
I'll even drop video games a few hours in because I'll lose all emotions I feel towards them.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking, but I'd have Flowey's main motive still be getting the souls to destroy humanity (and all of monsterkind too if he's edgy enough) rather than using Frisk to feel good. He'd get curious about real kindness as the story progresses and Frisk befriends more and more monsters (who seem to be genuinely happier for it) and fly into a jealous, angry rant during the final battle with him. He'd sound like the bratty little kid he was and throw one of those embarrassing 'if I can't have it, nobody can!' tantrums while he tries to destroy everything.
Dunno how you could handle him turning back into Flowey, I don't buy him staying in the underground and behaving himself for keeps in this AU.

I have a friend who really loves the Old Republic era, so do I, but he really has no interest in watching a lot of the films.
