hex is never ever dead unless ive drawn multiples of it or exterio has already been summoned (i only run one in my extra), since obedience and hex are run at 3, as well as cupidity being in there at 3, id say the openings a good 50 percent opening chance.
some points to make though:
.the deck is not dependent on exterio, beast can hold just fine, exterio brings better stats and trap negation to the table though.
.no deck can summon beast/barkion easier than raccoons, so when i have hex, its always live
