I think the big issue is that the lower robe is very much a simple robe, and finding a match means having very little in terms of detailing, or to go all out and to have all the detailing on the actual chestpiece which would take away the attention from the lower robe, killing the overall feel of it. Like, the cloth on something like Lucien Draay would look similar in style, but again - it detracts from the skirt.

Class Trials
The team got a lot of feedback from players that would use a Character Boost and then realize that they didn't really like that class the best.
A boost is an expensive investment, so the team wanted to give players the opportunity to try before they buy.
You can try a character out and play through the Broken Shore, Artifact acquisition, and your starting up your Order Hall during the trial.
If you like it, you can use a boost to unlock it and make it a permanent character.

The F2P is painful. Being a subscriber is a lot of fun though so take that into account.
Right now a lot of RP is going on EH. I would check that out. If you make an alt Imperial side we have a guild (just type in Ded and the rest of the name will pop up - one of us should be able to invite you).
Smuggler is my favorite class pub side. (Agent is my favorite on the other side).
