There was a thread about after the end of the Spring Group Stage - there wasn't really much decided, but I was thinking about asking about it in the board pollwhen we get round to doing that.
Some people wanted to do it through Haxball, but I don't know much about that. My thoughts on it are that it'd be fun, and that the winner would get a place on the /int/ 4CC team. If we do it through PES, the onus would be on the generals to get meme teams set up themselves as neither me nor Hessen spend much time at all in the generals, and so don't know much about their memes, which are almost an entirely different place to the rest of the board.
Basically, if you browse a general, get a meme team set up on the wiki so people know this might go somewhere. It's going to take more than me to get this started, and I don't want to push it too hard and piss off the generals.

As two of you said, the main issue preventing this from becoming a reality right now is a lack of autism - creating teams is pretty hard work, and takes a lot of time.
Things I can do to help reduce the effort required include editing already modeled face aesthetics like flag boxheads for the teams, making extremely shoddy kits and logos, and even coming up with a tactical export if need be.
Although it's definitely the case that the more the general contributes to its own team the better (and more people will be interested that way than if they're just all /me/ FCs), I understand it's hard to get shit like this off the ground, so at the complete least, providing 23 meme names would be enough for me to help you make a team.
Anyway, chances are if we do ever get something like this together, it would be after Summer, so there's still plenty of time for anything that's possible.
