at the end of the day i'm talking in more general terms that just a duel. vayne has 550 range and requires uptime to deal significant damage to enemies, and relies a lot on dodging to not die instantly. vlad is a tanky sustainy toplaner with huge point and click damage and generously sized aoes. the very least vayne is going to eat in a fight is a hemoplague which will her for anywhere in the vicinity of 500-700 ish damage, and anytime she tries to go dps the frontline she's going to have to deal with rylai transfusion and a potential nova. it's a huge risk for her since she is made of wet paper, and she'd much rather have to deal with a tanky fuck she can juke around and kite

They're both cancerous damage shitting machines that dont even have to build the big ticket items everyone else needs to grind for in lane. They spike faster, kill faster, and scale better.
Champs used to have weaknesses like 'Annie goes oom if you don't use her Q reset on last hits properly'. Now weaknesses require a full 5 man comp to cover.

I'm not claiming I'm some MF god and my elo is only low because they won't buff my champ who needs it. I don't even ADC in ranked (I will take her top one day). I think there is a disparity between ADC's that is not as prominent in other roles.
MF and Vayne both have an attack speed reset, an on hit damage steroid, move speed steroid, and CC. In this regard, the disparities of their kits are less objectively glaring.
I just wish it wasn't the other parts of that that made one and unparalleled duelist, and the other 'pretty good at splitpushing'.
It's not a matter of strength. It's a matter of investment and skill ceiling. Vayne can have real decisions about AA, tumble kite, AA, tumble kite, pin, swing reset, etc.
MF is pretty good at giving you a 50 cal facial from behind a wall.

1. What's exploitable about vayne, besides 'prevent her getting to lategame'? It's easier to stall a game out than finish it, and I tend to not play assassins, so Vayne is always a problem for me from the end of midgame onward.
2. I get she's not that strong. What happened? I thought she had some memebuild with Guinsoo's and Botrk and Bloodrazor. Any way when I said the 'really good roster', I meant that there seem to be a list of champs that never quite go out of style. Yorick and Jayce don't seem to make that list anymore, and I don't think Urgot was ever really on it.
3. I don't much care for the carries you listed either. I wish the whole roster showed up more often. DotA 2 seemed to have more in the way of 'pick by comp and how your team functions', where league has a lot of 'pick the strongest one you can' due to homogenization. Who does well against Ez and Luc? And why? Can one of them be Jhin? I'm autistic enough to 'get' him.

I used to play her in trash elo with a wacky Sightstone/Yomuus/Mobo build that involved homeguarding around the map to clear minions and push objectives, then speeding away while the other team tried to catch me. I played the green hill zone theme every time.

Top is a lot of 'be patient or wait for jungle', I think. I tend to play a lot of Vlad, Swain, and Morg for this reason. When my friend is jungling I still play those because he's a piece of shit and never ganks my lane unless I do all the work.

I played Quinn for a bit, but felt she didn't have enough to proper carry on her own at my skill level, and I was keeping our team from having a tank.
