That's a new set of steps that was added not too long ago. You should go ahead and dump them though (particularly movable.sed, that one's used to encrypt data on your SD card and could theoretically let you decrypt your saves on a different 3DS).

Use Decrypt9's SysNAND Options -> file dump function after you completely finish the guide. They won't be called "_emergency" but whatever, they're the same files.
It looks like the files are normally dumped by OTPHelper, but step 4 of the guide isn't actually activating that option, so I dunno.

and an Old 3DS, that has 9.5.0-22. Now, I was told I can use OoT to mod the N3DS following these instructions:

Ok. I found the solution. Decrypt9 just had an update and it has bugged the injection process. Just replace the Decrypt9 in your 3DS folder with the one from here: https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases/tag/20160505 and do the process again.

Depends on how updated your R4 card is, and how updated your 3DS is.
Certain,older 3DS updates blocked original DS flashcarts from working, but it seems like nintendo kinda gave up on that recently.
If your 3DS update is old enough, or the R4 is new enough, then you can just pop it in your 3DS and play it like any other game.
Alternatively you can just emulate 999 on your phone lmao

The separation between 3DS and DS mode is pretty wide. No interaction between the 3DS software and the extra DS hardware included. Basically they would have to code up an internal DS emulator and odds are it would run like shit.

If you got an error message while downgrading the only thing that's fucked is your redNAND. If you were dumb enough to downgrade your sysNAND you're fucked. If you're on an n3DS you're bricked and updating through recovery will only brick you further.
