It was set up perfectly to have a huge spike in players, with a boost week, new boss eq, and PS4 launch all at the same time. The spike died quickly which is why we have BACK TO BACK boost weeks. It's very easy to reach gear level 2 though with TMG. Would rather have them than the Yamato ones since those are finicky. Lose buff on zone change, switching to rifle to weak bullet if Gu/Ra, lose it when switching to all class WL as Gu/Hu for buttons in TA just as some examples.

What? I'm gu/ra, add a +20 crit/r-atk ring and you are at 75%. I had a friend running the more detailed damage parser during a PD and my sat aims had a 75% crit rate. So assuming 75% on that extra 10% damage, your looking at 6% + 7.5% damage. Granted, I haven't grinder and affixed mine yet because I'm running orbit, but they seem like they could be quite good.

Pick any room item and just select it, and place it extremely quickly. Right as the loading circle appears. If you do it right, you won't zoom in at all and it'll move up a flight.
It is EXTREMELY finicky and seems to be lag dependent. If you mess up once it drops ti to the ground. Maybe there's an easier way of doing it, but I haven't uncovered it yet.

The most reliable way to get it is naberius II time attack, unlocked by clearing forest, tundra and ruins explore. You can ask friends or teammates to start it up and carry. Go left during the two way fork.
Currently the easiest way is to do the seasonal wind and rain EQ with a guaranteed spawn at the end. Eq goes away this maint though.
Third way needs you to do forest advance quest, but needs you to pay in 'caps' and may spawn a rockbear instead of fang banther's.

So I'm trying to get back into the swing of things as a Ra/Hu and I'm not sure what I should be doing PA wise.
For mobbing, I'm using One Point, Diffuse Shell and Grenade Shell for my rifle.

Razonde all day, Zonde or even Gizonde if you can't throw talis high. There are a few other extremely situational tricks but you'll learn those by experimenting.
EquipmentI'd recommend Orbis Talis, the PP regen halt can actually be beneficial some of the time for FI, but it can be really annoying at others, get a Queen Vera if you find yourself out too much or switch to some other talis.
Also some Innocent Form weapon (that one 12* rod if possible) for Sazonde in bosses, release Zandion/compound when available as usual.
Rondakrus and Rose Flotz are nice to have around, especially the first, but 200% optional really.
I've been considering for some time getting some high TATK rod for compounds and maybe ilzonde, but I'm still undecided on which one will be a good choice, and so far I've been doing okay with the talis alone.
