at this point, Ventus was passed out and was in his Station of Heart, and Sora, as a newborn child with a heart full of potential, meets him there. Sora basically goes "dude your heart is fucked up. how bout you put it in my chest so it can hang out with my heart until it gets better"

Because Ventus and Xehanort and everything that came out after KH1 didn't exist when they wrote the game. Instead of trying to write a sequel they decided to write some awful time travel prequel midgame and sort of sequel nonsense to try and make it seem like any of this makes sense.

Did you not play Birth By Sleep? Riku got the ability from Terra in that game as a 5 year old. He fucked up on the strength of heart requirement that night on DI and Sora reaches into the darkness, touches his light and "takes" Kingdom Key.

Considering that we know that Riku was EXTREMELY jealous of Sora this is probably what didn't help that situation. I'd say extreme jealously would be a weakness.

My theory is actually that Xehanort's heart acts as a sort of hivemind. He might not directly control them (though we know he can assume direct control with Young Xehanort) but he sort of guides them and gives them knowledge?
Like say Xehanort as a whole needs Xemnas to do something. Suddenly Xemnas in KH2 will know what to do and travel to the future, do the thing and then return to the past. He won't remember what he just did but the Xehanort Hivemind will.
I think that's why he wants fragments of himself in everyone. So he can use that to transcend time and "control" 13 versions of him that are still kinda him. It also kinda implies that if all are beaten and the hearts are ripped, Xehanort would become even more overpowered as they join together again. Even in BBS we can assume parts of his heart are in Vanitas and Briag, making him weaker.

It took me a while to come to that conclusion though since the game never hints at it if you ask me. It keeps saying Young Xehanort brought everyone together but that could only be a one time thing some YX goes back to his time and forgets everything again.
The heart hivemind was the only I could figure to create a scenario where someone like Xemnas would know he can and should time travel to a point after his death.
Even then, there has to be a Xehanort there to act as a portal so they could actually end it by taking down the reformed Terranort, Briag and whoever of the apprenctices got Norted.

Well, as far as taking control of Young Xehanort is concerned, that happened because Master Xehanort hadn't fully completed yet, and effectively transferred his consciousness during the Stopza.
I don't think that Young Xehanort or Ansem, SoD have been "norted" the way Braig was. They already have Xehanort's heart.

It's kinda weird that he re-fused as Master Xehanort considering it was Terranort who was turned into Xemnas and SoD.
Though, I think Xehanort being able to assume direct control makes the Norts even more dangerous. Young Xehanort shouldn't have anything close to the experience needed to fight Riku but as soon as Xehanort took over, he was putting up a good fight. So in KHIII, if one of his Norts is backed into a corner, the hivemind can give them Super Xehanort powers. Kinda scary if you add that extra power already overpowered characters like Terranort or Vanitas.

I think it depends. Saix and Axel's interactions in Days implies and straight up say at some points that he used to be way different and changed. And then when you compare Isa to Saix you can tell something is up with him.

Though on the other hand, we have no idea when in the timeline this YX came to visit MX. For all we know, the YX we fight in BBS is the one from the end KHIII after fighting Sora and RIku couple of times.
On the other hand, YX couldn't beat the three wielders in BBS since he can't alter events that are destined to happen. If he did kill one of the BBS trio, the events of BBS couldn't happen.

Yes.
The Heartless take (or are made from) the hearts of people.
Kingdom Hearts (the real one) is a complete unity of all the hearts of worlds and people.
Xemnas and the Organization were slaying Heartless to collect the hearts they held in order to complete their artificial Kingdom Hearts.

No they didn't. The only confirmed person who had a heart from the start would be Roxas, technically. Everyone else had to capacity to regrow a replacement heart, and it wasn't a sure thing that some of them had even started that process.

The idea was to use Kingdom Hearts to fill everyone with the SAME heart, not just any old heart or their original hearts.

What do you guys think these two woulda done after killing Xemnas off? Marluxia is just flat and not much is known but Larxene outright said in the novel she doesn't want a heart.

Fact is, though, they have very strict policies on good Disney characters ever fighting among themselves.
Notice how whenever Sora fights Hercules it's always solo. They play it as him wanting to show off but fact is they can't make Donald or Goofy lay a single hit on Hercules and vice versa.
I kind of understand why they do it. If my company housed characters that millions of little kids look up to I'd be wary of what I let them do, too.

KH1 nails the hopelessness aspects when it has to but overall it hits a wide spectrum of emotions. Not to mention the ending practically bursting with hope.
Meanwhile BBS is basically a trainwreck in slow motion, forcing you to watch this Mr. Clean motherfucker pull all the strings perfectly and doom the three main characters. This is helped a lot by the voice acting, which is some of the best in the series. Aqua especially has a great range and her delivery on some of her lines late-game is just glorious. You feel the pain and struggle in her voice when she's falling into the Realm of Darkness and speaking to Ven about how she won't be there for him.
Runner up is 358/2, it's surprising how well it highlights the tragedy of the situation, even though it isn't even all that important in the grand scheme of things.

It's not great for damage and its healing is the same at 5* or 6* to my knowledge. 5* will save you a buttload of cost but 6* is for the medal album. A female character isn't inherently interesting but a different character is at least different. It's a better foundation than most of the villains have, in addition to being a good opportunity for a fresh face, since we haven't had a real female villain that wasn't Disney since CoM.

Nah, I remember that fight. It's not really a final boss fight, but more just a victory lap for the player. The only comparison I can think of right now is the Mustang/Armstrong fight at the end of the Fullmetal Alchemist PS2 game.Also, people should totally play that game if they get the chance. Well, according to the wiki, he only has five attacks and the shield.
I seem to remember him being incredibly fond of the shield, meaning that you almost had to employ Large Body tactics to get reliable damage, especially when using magic.
He's very aggressive and some attacks can cover ground quite quickly, along with his Dark Firaga.
So as I recall, much of the fight is spent simply running in circles waiting for him to leave himself open.

Yeah, I've tried emulating it for recording purposes before but emulators either run it like shit or, if it works, have clunky controls due to it using the stylus so much. It's a damn gorgeous port, all the graphics were updated, music was included at not-shit-DS-quality, and had some new tracks. It's just too bad that Squeenix is incompetent sometimes, last time the iPhone upgraded its operating system, it broke and SE made a statement that they could no longer support it. That made people mad, so they said "well, eventually, right now we don't have time." And THEN they said they wouldn't update it at all. Of course, someone later that same day found that all they had to do was direct it to look for files in a different location because they moved on the update. And then they backtracked, and said they would fix it, and they did, probably only because a single person pointed out how easy it would be to do. In essence: the port's cool but after that fiasco I don't think it's the most reliable version seeing as on a whim SE may decide it's not worth their time. If Nomura was actually clever about the reveal of the betrayer's identity,it would turn out to be Ava. Her actions clearly paint her as the least suspect, but she could be working behind the scenes to sow the chaos that leads to the war, while openly putting up a "fight" against it. The betrayal of proto-protagonist Ephemera would really drive the knife home into the gut.
Unfortunately, Nomura hasn't done anything legitamately plot-twisty since the Ansem reports in KHI, so we can probably toss that possibility out the window.
