Jotaro can stop time on command (22P is the command for it) for about 10 seconds in game with 1.5 bars in All Star Battle. So can DIO with the same command, 22P.
The same applies for the Heritage for the Future Capcom game for Jotaro and DIO. The input is different but iirc it takes 7 bars and it drains them crazy fasts, the more bars the more it lasts. The most it last is 20 seconds iirc.

How do I deal with fireball spam as Cammy? I'm trying to play against my friend's Ryu and when he doesn't mess up his rhythm, I can never get in. I either spend an eternity blocking/backing up, I neutral jump and accomplish nothing except keep the current fireball on screen longer, or jump forwards where I'm instantly greeted with a DP. I'm aware of doing an EX Spiral Arrow, but that's assuming I have any meter, which you don't at the beginning of a game

greed sever is not a mix up, it's anti mash. don't just go throwing it out or i will punish
slide is a damage ender, but you want to be going for 2d xx ciel into heavy fireball for the oki 90% of the time for the corner carry and oki.
clean up the execution. a lot of missed fireballs, greed sever conversion drops, poor iad', and dropped dust conversions. if you're going to be a wild guy and try to unga me, might as well get the damage for the unga decisions
don't be so passive on the ground, and use your defensive options. dead angle, blitz, jd, burst, dp rc, etc.also, run up gold burst isn't very real, especially if you don't know how to use the meter
greed sever yrc isn't real. however, fireball yrc is.
once you get people scared of the 5s footsies, play around with the 2d footsies. much more satisfying and leads to 2d xx ciel shit
probably not the best idea to try and mash out of slayer oki. my slayer was always ass, and now it's ass and rusty, but i can still make an and 1 mixtape on oki

To follow that up with something a bit more concrete, if you play a brawler or a grappler losing life can be an acceptable strategy to get in on someone. You can ignore your opponents attempts to zone with pokes or fireballs by just walking forward.
Giving low health characters the same option wouldn't be 'fair'. They tend to get high mobility to compensate.

I wish I had waited til now to play it. Playing it on release was fucking cancer; the servers hardly worked, progress wasn't recorded sometimes, there were a mix of retards and people who've been playing fighters their whole life so it was difficult to gauge where I should be.
I stopped playing for a few months and I come back today and improve 10 fold. It's like all the retards teaching me bad habits either got better or left. So now there are mostly only silver and up players and anyone below that is at least competent.

SF5 was my very first fighting game i took seriously, i even bought a stick for it. Recently (when this 8 frame fiasco came to light) i wanted to play another fighting game with responsive controls, so i bought the revelator demo.
All I can say is, this is literally the most fun ive had playing a game aside from Season 2-3 league of legends, the game has so much depth and each character is fucking awesome to play. Not to mention the best looking and very smooth gameplay.
If you haven't already, try out revelator especially if you have a local scene that plays it. I find it much more fun then street fighter, feels really nice playing a game with responsive controls.

So, I'm trying to learn Faust in Xrd. He supposedly has good anti-air normals, but they always seem to lose or, at best, trade with other characters' jump-in attacks. It loses to all of the jump-ins for the following characters: Sol, Ky, May, Jack-O, Johnny, Venom, and Raven.
Even when I perfectly read that they'll jump in to attack me and press the button with the right timing, I just eat a counter hit and take a million damage. Am I just supposed to block every jump-in or something? Not complaining. Just really, really confused.

Frankly I don't know, I don't play Faust. But when I dash in with either Elphelt, Sin or Bedman against a good faust I get AA'd into a combo about 80% of the time. You should keep in mind that you can't always autopilot 6p or 2k when someone is coming in too, there are some angles where they will still hit your vulnerable lower body or something. Go watch some pro play of Faust to see how they do it.
As for the jumping, Faust does a lot of that. His zoning depends a lot on the j2k drill and the paperbags.
