done correctly and efficiently, you should be able to sell back iron talon at 7:00 to 7:15 and buy your finished boots of travel and teleport home. Then teleport around a few times to get bottle. Then set immediately to vacuuming farm AND spamming missiles to contribute to fights. Missile spam from 7 minute travels completely wrecks most people so take advantage of that to zone out their carry and snag some kills and win some fights
arcane boots as your first item after bottle
then you have the choice of proceeding directly to greaves OR getting earlier blink dagger. Blink is more defensive and lets you farm in an unsafe map, greaves wins you fights and pushes once you've got it
once you get greaves or blink, get the other one next
after greaves+blink, pick up aghanims OR get an item to counter mass blademails (euls / octarine / bkb)
now you're slotted out and you need to replace bottle and swap it in/out when at fountain with whatever last item you pick up (sheep, octarine or bloodstone)
the easiest way to win games is to remember that ANY TIME YOU BLINK IN YOU DIE. If you get cocky and go aggressive and blink in to laser someone to death at melee range, their ally will be waiting in fog and blink stun you and you ded. Your job is to spam missiles from fog of war and stay in fog of war and not expose yourself. Even blinking in for a 5 man laser bounce in a teamfight is usually not worth it
you should only use sheep when someone is trying to solo split push your towers and backdoor you or whatever. So if a 4000 hp carry tries to sit on top of your tower alone with mass regen and just soak up missiles while he kills barracks, you can stop that with sheep.

What am I missing then? Broxybot proved a 6-slotted Tinker could actually sustain missiles indefinitely with that combo by dropping items, and even without that trick it still gives you a ton of mana per rearm allowing you to keep up a barrage of missiles for a long time. It makes it super-hard to take highground against Tinker because you need BKBs/Pipe for everyone who will show in vision, and you are extremely limited in the window you have for pushing as a result.

They will group up a lot earlier of you pick PL or Naga or TB or an illusion hero like SD. They are coded to believe illusions count as heroes, so when you use Mirror Image or whatever the bots instantly think there's a push happening and will try to defend it by grouping. As soon as this happens that's usually it for the laning phase.
I've also managed to get them to group by 3 min by picking Brood. The Spiderling army confuses the hell out of them.
