Mess around with Quetz's GF settings and have him learning "Card". You'll have plenty of cards in no time.
Carding is also the best way to grind, since you unlock new abilities without grinding up levels.

There are no literal clones really, everything Hojo did is messing around with Jenova cells in people
All the clone talk is just a derogatory term used but it would be more accurate to think of it as "failed experiment"
I guess he considers it that he was trying to "clone" the power of Jenova and then Sephiroth
The nature of Jenova makes it so that it is able to influence its own will wherever its cells are. Although Jenova is not exactly higher intelligence it's more like the The Thing driven by instinct now using the human mind as it would any abilities from any lifeform it comes across in attempt to reach its goal. This is all a large if not the critical reason why both Cloud and Sephiroth went looney tunes

Chrystal Chronicles are all awesome, but in the end weren't able to be realized well.
The first was an amazing game that had two major problems - One, was that it was a cute, lighthearted game in terms of play style, intent, and artstyle, that tried to have the heaviest, most dramatic, and often saddest events happen. The ending of the game made me tear up,The idea of losing your memories one by one as they're eaten by the Meteor Parasite and still having to fight over and over, and considering how easy it is to RUN OUT OF MEMORIES AND GET A UNIQUE GAME OVER...The problem it had with being a multiplayer game that required waaaaay too much equipment to actually play meant very few got to play the very very awesome multiplayer, making it a lackluster single-player game.
Ring of Fate was pretty shit, mostly because it was bland. I know people who like it but I wasn't impressed, and it hasn't left much of an impact.
Crystal Bearers for the Wii was where it's at, though. It's got a strong (if generic-ish) story, and the main character never lets the so-called stigma of being a Crystal Bearer get to him in the way of so many protagonists. His Telekinesis powers are used very well and there's quite a bit of spectacle to the fights, even if the most effective way to fight effectively becomes "Grab thing, waggle it back in forth in the air until it dies" the things like being able to kill an Iron Giant with it's own sword or fighting Bahamut is fucking awesome. It's a game where you start by sky-diving towards an airship without a parachute firing a minigun with your mind and blowing up dragons. It had a problem with intended audience and the limitations of the system, though, and the minigames are kinda lame.

Both of them are fun, but they're only tangentially connected. Life as King is about building up your kingdom, Dark Lord is a tower defense game using monsters. They've got references to each other all over the place. They're also pretty good, though, good quality for for what you'd expect from them. Tonbetty a cute.
If you've got the ability, I might recommend emulating the first game and using it's system to do multiplay with normal controllers - I've done it before, but I can't remember the details right now. It's hard to bring 4 people together for the whole game, but you can play through a bit and get help in hard spots occasionally, maybe download some characters for people to use. The multiplay on that game was the fucking best, especially if you got 4 people together, completely changes how you play the game and what strategies you can use.

eh, that wouldn't work with the digital music though. You have to go full metal to meet the power and also get a proper death metal vocalist cause his stuff was severly muted. The only way to balance the music with the video game digital part was the lower the power of the vocals like this

Absolutely not. The advantage of Digital is that you can properly modulate the vocals and instruments. Someone with a more operatic voice, or at least someone with better singing chops, would have made it a great song. The weak vocals are dragging everything down.

IV is the better game in general, but the chibis can make the story a little hard to take seriously. FFIV Advance or any of the more recent non DS iterations should be played first.

Maybe a bit more appropriate of a singer could have powered it up a bit, but if you go too powerful you have to bring everything else up as well, you have to properly EQ them all so they each have their own sound. And if you do that too much with the 8-bit sound it begins to sound very harsh like HORSE The Band style (which works for hardcore music but not this). I'm not saying it's not doable, but it's a fuck of a load harder than just softening the vocals a bit.

Yeah, I hit a wall after Draklor Laboratories w/ about 80 hours logged. Though that's because I did every sidequest and hunt as it became available and played it for days straight. It takes quite a toll on you, more than the other games that's for sure. That's probably because it was pretty much FFXI 2.0 where the pace is severely hampered by travel time. Its been a while though and I'm ready to get back into it to finish it off soon.

Story wise? Kain and Golbez had okay stories, everyone else is pretty bad
Gameplay wise a lot of dungeons and bosses get reused, the waterway in particular. I don't think there was any original boss fights aside from the Mystery Girl and the final bosses

I'm 34 hours to be more precise, on my way to the jungle place. I'm sort of like you in that I've done just about every side quest and hunt up to this point but it has also taken me months to get to this point.
Like I can't pick this game up for more than an hour at a time but I swore to myself I will finish this if it kills me. I never played XI but what I find while playing XII is that I want to go soloquest in WoW or something.

You just need enough transport crystals and a willingness to galumph through areas holding the Flee button. I know I took a few shortcuts by just running through an overlevelled area with the Flee command active.
And Orange Crystals are your friend. Figure out how to move around with them and travel becomes naught.
