Never really liked Sakura. She just was there but had nothing noteworthy to add. No skills, no interesting gimmick, nothing. She honestly could not exist in part 1, and nothing in narrative whould have changed.

Although the alternative is the bugs simply drain his normal chakra until he either drops unconscious or draws on the Cursed Seal, which - since there no normal chakra to swap with - just causes immense pain to the point where Shino could safely fight defensively until Sasuke just drops.
Even in the battle at the Valley of the End when he goes Level 2 he wasn't drained of chakra, and so was able to sustain L2 without crazy pain.

Actual sight? She WAS capable of seeing shit ten kilometres away, and seeing the enemy's chakra network is useful as ever, if the user's own powerlevel, strength and speed are up to snuff.
And it makes for a much better power in terms of character-writing tool. It informs the character, gives some neat backstory possibilities, plus a nice moveset that's largely dependent on how good the person using it is.
The Sharingan just has forty seven different kekkei genkai powers packaged into one, one of them being an ability to pull off whatever the fuck the writer needs the bastard using it that makes the plot forward.
It is overpowered shit that takes over everything about a character and switches them all for more eyeball power wankery.
But in-universe besides sight it is clearly far more powerful than the Byakugan. I suppose it should be offset by all Hyuuga we've seen having it, as opposed to supposedly small numbers of the Uchiha having even the basic variant, but that is hard to keep in mind when pretty much every named Uchiha we do see does happen to have them.

If the Byakugan user was fast enough, they could beat the Sharingan's tracking and movement prediction and shut down the Uchiha's Tenketsu. That's a long stretch, though.
Best bet would honestly be to create a Shadow Clone and double-team the Uchiha, the way Tobirama INTENDED the jutsu to be used.

If you've seen the whole farscape series then I highly recommend them. the art is pretty good and it's written by the original creator so it definitely keeps with the direction of the series.
