Halo 4 and MCC were abominations. Campaign aside, H5 is a small step in the right direction - notice I said SMALL step. Functionally, the game is fine, but the company has a LONG way to go before I'd say with confidence that they're worthy of continuing Halo as a franchise.
Unfortunately, their track record with H5 isn't looking good. Between the content that was held back, the implementation of microtransactions, the fucked-up release schedule of content that should have been in AT LAUNCH, and lacklustre updates when they *do* finally hit... I wrote up all of the known armour IDs (I use this list to help myself when I'm ripping the assets), and you can clearly see that there's no real semblance of order to the armours that were released as DLC. I also remember 343 saying that they had to cut a lot of the campaign in one of their vidocs because they said originally Halo 5 was too long. Nah, that's a mashup I did in five minutes using the Halo 4 Battle Rifle and Lightrifle models - no scale alterations, just a pure port of the two weapons and slight adjustment to put the scope in a sensible location. Literally five minutes of my time - the hardest part of this was setting up the light source and camera for the render.
