There are a lot of guides but as an amateur to another amateur, they can be quite depressing for first timers. It makes drawing seem like a ton of work even though you're doing it for fun. My advice is to draw whatever it is you like drawing or feel like doing. If it's not good then that's ok. Just start another drawing right next to it and keep going. That's how I doodle. It's helps psychologically too since you don't just have an empty blank screen in front of you.

The problem I have with liking Asriel is that with any other character you can use adjectives: Undyne is passionate, Papyrus is good, Toriel is warm - or things they did: Asgore struggles with his moral choices but tries to stay himself, Sans wants to give up but tries to make you find monsters likeable, Alphys is an awkward nerd who fucked up but tries anyway- but with Asriel it's mostly about things that happened to him, and he just rolled with them in a way his state allowed him.

I like the moral quandary he faces as Flowey, where any intrinsic value of empathy is taken away and he's forced to rely on extrinsic value to justify his actions.
At first we're lead to believe that this wasn't enough, but we later find out that it actually was enough for quite a while and it was a combination of his resets and the limitedness of the underground led him to descend into madness. This leads us to the question of how much of our capacity for goodness is due to our innate fuzzy feelings we get from our ability to empathize with others vs doing it just to stave off boredom. If it's the latter, it presents a serious issue because then you'd have no problem doing the genocide run solely to stave off that boredom even though it's the wrong thing to do from a moral standpoint. That whole idea is what makes Asriel interesting to me.

That link was my first exposure to the AU and if its since changed that's great and i'm happy but i'm still weary of AUs that change the characters personality too much because you get stuff like that where they ruin Papyrus and Asgore to make other characters like Sans and Toriel look better (oh also Asgore blinded Alphys because she wasn't working fast enough or something) It also throws papyrus under the bus to make Sans look better by having Sans protect Frisk from Papyrus who is murder crazy and "animalistic than civilized" . So its not just Asgore I don't like

In terms of personality, I find Toriel very femininely warm and affectionate. And it pulls my heart to know how long in isolation she has been in, how many kids she's seen come and go, but even after all that she's not openly bitter towards you. She takes you in immediately, treats you like you're one of her own. I find that to be taken for granted a lot, that's kind of a big deal to me, personally.
My fascination only increased when hearing about her from Gerson. Her life as queen with her husband and children, hearing about how insufferably lovey dovey her and her husband were with each other, that little fluffybuns story. Later on with the True Labs tapes as well and how excited she was for motherhood. Though, it also served to enhance the sadness I felt in comparison to how I found her. A queen so bright in mind, together with her husband and kids, but ultimately long fallen. From titan to shadow and now with her failures, she thinks she is capable of so little other than being a mere caretaker.
It makes me happy that through the actions of the player she eventually is able to wake up and take back her responsibility. Toriel = Chaotic good (lawful is 100% wrong and should be a a clue that the chart is shit)
Sans = Chaotic Neutral
Papyrus = chaotic good as well imo though I guess you could shove him in neutral good to fill out the chart
Undyne = Lawful good I guess? I don't want to say shes chaotic since shes working with in the law but she is def good

No one here really is, but the reason why alignment charts exist is because they have a real mechanical effect in games like D&D where Good and Evil, Chaos and Lawful are literally more than abstraction. The problem is that they just don't work a lot of the time for characters, so I suppose you would go with what would they fit with the best, but even that's really tricky.

I wouldn't even say her character thinks her husband is evil. She correctly calls him out about him stringing along the decision he regretted, but the problem someone should have called her out for her hypocrisy , maybe Undyne would have been best for that.
