Are they ever going to fix faith builds? The buffs are mediocre, the damage is laughably shit compared to sorc/pyro, and the costs are insanely high. The most basic offensive spell in the school (lightning spear) costs more than twice it's equivalent in sorcery and does significantly less damage. If they hated faith having access to damaging spells they should've removed them and made faith purely buffs/healing.

Why not? I assume most casters use raw infused weapons so they can buff them with their element of choice. My point was that they need to make faith a little more threatening. The only offensive spell you get before lothric castle is your basic lightning spear or lightning stake (which is a heavier investment in both attunement slots and faith req.). Even when you get there it's a rank 2 covenant reward and the damage to cost increase is, again, terrible.

After playing das3 I decided to give das1 a try and I'm honestly not enjoying it. I'm going for a mostly str based build as I do in most rpgs and fights just feel so tedious. It seems like it's more about how patient can you be with a shield rather than actually beating the shit out of something. 2 handing also feels impossible due to this whole actual poise system. The helmet hides the wider parts of the face. Taking it off fucks up the balance of it since it is thin at the front, yet retains the wide skull shape at the back. Every face in the game is forced to conform to that same shape, unfortunately. Using the helmet makes it easier to get that stereotypical thin white face I was going for.

I've gotten almost all of his patterns down anyways, and the last time I managed to knock Smough down really fast and still have Solaire at around half HP for Giant Ornstein.
