I simultaneously wish I'd started with P4G and P3.
It was a hard slough re-learning older mechanics for P3 after having played P4 (hitting downed enemies removing down status instead of dizzying is the weirdest part) which robbed me of the ability to judge it based on merit without comparison. Writing wise P3 deals with much more solid and deeper issues than P4 and the plot is much more important and weighty, but the treatment of characters and the amount of unnecessary-side content (like the entirety of strega) hold the story back and confuse it somewhat. Not to mention the pacing is notably lacking in later half. I'd love to see a Post-P4 remake of P3 that isn't P3P.
On the other hand though, jumping into P4G with all that additional content on the first playthrough would have been super neato and having fusion search and controlled skill inheritance in fusion would have saved at least a dozen hours out of my first playthrough.
