account sharing in 3s in general is a thing, but doing it for rating or gear isn't as common as you think. compared to that, win trading is a lot easier to do and a bigger issue. lots of people I knew played on other's accounts for fun, and they do get banned for it. it was a thing in the tournament though because certain people played on their alt entries or friends' teams that had the same comp. it's not just good fight, the big pvp guilds at the time all did it, and I didn't really care. if you aren't beating mayfair's alt team in round 1 you probably aren't going to in the finals either.
also doll never played my account in 3s, he just used it for random things like carrying his reaper to 65 or dueling.

Everyone always says "oh they're useful for tracking progress and getting better!" which is fine in an ideal world, but in practice all I ever see people doing is posting the logs after each and every run and making players who aren't on top feel like dogshit. Look in this very thread. Some faggot ninja has his logs posted as a way to discredit him over god knows what. Like, I've yet to see one person who's used a meter solely to track their own progress. Everyone's gotta post shit, and in the most public ways too.

Or you get whole mechanics skipped that results in a wipe for the entire team. Now I'm not saying this about everyone, but in my personal experience people stop being team players when they know their individual numbers are being watched and their individual performance is being judged, especially when they feel like that information will be made public.

I've seen people almost wipe on something as easy as DFNM, because instead of dealing with the adds on the final boss, they ignored them to continue attacking the tree instead. Then they got confused, failed to dodge lasers/burn, and died. When the tank, who also thought he would ignore the adds and rack up dps instead, died because he also couldn't dodge while confused, nobody wanted to go to the front to attack until he could get up and keep going because attacking from the front would mean bad dps. This was an IMS group where one person continued to post damage information after each boss, and sure enough teamwork and coordination dipped as the run wore on. Where the first boss had one player willing to distract the sorc so that everyone else could attack without being knocked back every couple of seconds, the crab boss had people taking floor hits because they wanted to be closer to the boss when the mechanic ended, and the final boss saw a complete lack of teamwork and a near-wipe when everyone seemed to just stop paying attention to everything around them except their numbers. I realize this is just one run, but it's something I've seen plenty of times already. I really wish its negative effects were limited to SSHM, but I wouldn't be complaining here if that were the case.
End of the day I'm just tired of being the only guy attacking tombstones at FI and really menial shit like that, because everyone else is so worried about what some guy with a meter is going to post after the run.

I just got out of a 45 minute IMS run of FINM on my priest and holy shit. Holy shit. Wow.
I think it's safe to say that every time I solo IMS on my priest, I wish I were DPSing instead. Nobody dodges. Nobody even tries to learn how to play their class. Every run is slow as fuck. And then all they do is bitch when they aren't cleansed immediately after being hit by their 20th avoidable status affliction that fight. This is why IMS is always wanting for healers. There are a lot of mystics running around who enjoy their class, and that's great, but give them a month and I promise you nine in ten will go right back to their DPS main when they realize how dependent they are on other people to know what they're doing if they ever want a smooth run.
On my DPS I can work around a lot of bad players. Healer's not giving back mana? I have pots for that. Tank's not holding aggro? I can pop an eclipse, or just rotate around the boss while slamming out big hits. Other DPS are in the wrong crystals and making the run slow? Not a problem, I can just deal with a slower run than usual, knowing that at least my dps isn't shit. But there's no way around any of that on a healer. You're just stuck dealing with everybody's else's shit for an hour. Literally an hour. Stuck for an hour, in a dungeon your own dps alt could do in a fraction of the time. At least there's LFG. But then you have to deal with the fact that your class occupies only a single role in the group composition, meaning there's almost always some other healer in the group you were just trying to get into.
Fuck me. Doing dailies on my priest is probably the least favorite part of my day. I'm not even picky. Like, I'll do easy shit if it means I can finish quicker. But nope. Everyone I know is asleep, and I can't even queue for something as easy as channelworks without ending up with two people who take 20 minutes per boss. Not even exaggerating.

They need equipment to level their character, so they buy it. People solo mostly everything in this game, while levevling, so you need better gear to survive, especially now, that the heal from balders scale to your level.
People used to pay 1-1.5k for lvl 27 and lvl 38 equipment (+9ed ofc).

Yesterday you complained about me posting screens on censored DPS results, as a mystic.
I literally, sometimes, did 50% of total damage. Usually it was to show how insane the DPS on mystic has become, and secondly, sometimes to complain because it's horrible having to suffer through IMS, and also to point how "how lucky it is that I can actually contribute to the DPS".
On that note... I have no idea how new people manage to get through dungeons. When I heal, I take aggro, usually, IMS groups have so bad DPS that they can't keep aggro away from the healer when healer heals. So for any new healer, who can't survive stuff (kaias/dmg negation), it'd be a hell, and I can't see how they wouldn't wipe over and over again.

As for the rest of your post, mystics are fucking insane right now during the leveling process. I just leveled one, and went through 62-65 by grinding for a couple of hours by myself outside the Amandjuk trading post with contagion. For months we've seen Koreans posting videos of their mystics doing 1.2m/s on endgame bosses. Mystics having incredible potential right now is nothing new. It is also true that pug dps suck 99% of the time -- something you'll come to despise (if you haven't already), when your runs take longer and longer and the game quickly becomes a frustrating test of your patience until you just make a DPS class to avoid dealing with the totally not-fun task of wiping shitter's asses on a regular basis.

Because they tend to use 1k cuts as a DPS skill and very few actually use their smoke bombs. That said, Ninjas are really, really frail, so hits hurt them probably the hardest of any class now.
