Holy shit no, it has god damn good mobbing for its range, use Assault Buster, Slide Shaker and Speed Rain. There's other Volg combos for moving targets/weakpoints like Sacred Assault Assault. Volg Slide Zenith is still the most pp:damage and dps, but it requires a still boss.

volg + zenith is the most pp efficient combo, while other combos cost too much PP for the damage.
Wired lance can trash some bosses quicker since heavenly fall is quick easy damage+invincibility if the slam can actually connect while holding current is large damage that can be landed from a distance at the cost of mobility. The biggest problem with the weapon is how finicky these PAs can be.
Their mobbing isn't really great compared to partizan/sword's but they're the only HU weapon with a suction PA in the form of other spin. Other Cyclone's craft may make it more worthwhile but who knows.
Anyway I'm playing HU again. I'm not sure where you guys are getting the idea where HU mains using their weapons trump BO's weapons vs bosses. I can kill rodos with boots faster than Partizan/wired lance, the boots being ideal and the partizan/wl being seiga/ideal respectively

I feel WL is ok for bossing, but its most defining tool is Holding Current. It's the quickest way to get a fat chunk of dmg, if you don't have alot of time to Volg combo before the Volg explodes.
An example would be when doing PD and your group is above average, resulting in breaking parts too quick for your volg to explode. That's when Holding current would be useful.

That's really your best bet, although there might be a situation out of your control where the target moves a bit out of range so being situationally aware and switching to something like a gap closer to get back in range so it isn't a total bust is something to be mindful of.

Shift Period is a must for mobbing, you'll probably get some mileage out of Heel Stab too. Aerial Shooting might help keep you above a particularly messy fray
Grim Barrage is your main gap closer now although Dead Approach might still has some uses depending on how you're set up

Not that anon, but think of it this way.
With OT weapons, you have 3 ways of getting something to max ele, you shove the same weapon same element in (+whatever element the fodder is), you shove the same weapon diff element in (+10), or you shove something of the same rarity in (+1).
With NT overgrinding, you'll want five extra copies of the same weapon to +35. Considering that, unless your base weapon is somehow less than 15 ele, you would get to 60 ele no matter what element the fodder is.

Because you need 6, it works like this: you only need one of the right element. If the collection file one is the right element? great. If you get a random drop that you can untek or is pre-tekked in the element you want? also great. You just get your one of the right element and then dump the other 5 on it, and because you'll get a minimum of 50 element from that you'll hit the 60 cap easily.
People say that 13* drop like candy now, so getting one of the right element "shouldn't be hard"

if you had 6 in total (which you need) you add 5 to one of them after unlocking the 3rd level of the potential and you get +35 grind and +10 ele PER WEAPON = +50 ele. meaning 60.
you need an ele changer if you are doing collect files and it doesnt come in the element you want from the file. but if it drops, and you plan on getting 5 more from collect file for max grind/can do so before the collect file expires, then tek it the element you want becaue you're going to get +10 ele per weapon and you neeed 5.
