So let's address the elephant in the room. Is Riot going to do anything to counteract the rise of Overwatch? Maybe delete dynamic queue? Make cute waifus again? They can't do nothing. Especially when League was already losing popularity in the first place.

It does. Yes, Overwatch isn't a moba like League but the two games share identical demographics. Hell, you can even see the effects of Overwatch here on lolg. The threads have been more or less dead all month and it's only getting worse with 6-9 hour generals. And it doesn't stop here, you can see Overwatch overshadowing League on Twitch, Youtube, etc. Even my tumblr feed (used exclusively for League porn) is now about half Overwatch because all the good League artists jumped the Overwatch bandwagon. It's not going away any time soon.
