They come in Automatic and ManualAnd self-driving
Automatic takes care of just about everything for you.
Manual requires much more input.
WoWS is Automatic. You really only need to aim your guns, perhaps hit WASD now and again for positioning, though they actually have autopilot to handle that sort of thing. WASD to dodge torps unless you want to claim "I DID ALL I COULD OMG SKYCANCER, OMG DD CANCER!"

Your AA and secondaries is handled by the AI and your ability to aim is handled by RNG dice. You can do a battleship movie level turn, and fire with relative accuracy at a target in the distance in the middle of your turn.(RNG-Sama permitting of course.)
And the time-distortion and slower pace means if you are lucky, you'll enter combat at the 5 minute mark. If you are unlucky and the enemy went to the other side of the map.. perhaps 10 minute mark. Every 4 matches has a match effectively wasted in 'waiting to enter combat'. Torps also have a lead indicator of 'shoot them here and if the target doesn't change speed or angle, they will hit'
Steel Ocean is manual. You relatively complete control your ship. The AA, the 2ndries, the guns and torps. No torp guide other than "It will shoot in this direction, and dud range indicator"
You cannot do a wild turn and accurately fire in the middle of it, and after the turn you'd need some time to aim your guns properly. (Unless you've practiced locking your guns before the turn, in which case both could be plausible.)

The real shit starts at E-5. Until that point you'll be fine with level 60's especially if you roll easy mode. I generally consider ships event-worthy for Easy when they're at 60, 70+ otherwise. I'm not one of them autists who run later tier maps on Hard though. I can only imagine how military grade aspie one has to be to deal with E-6 on Hard.

I've killed many a BB with invisifire using her top guns. She just isn't for torping. Scouting and fire are her strong points.

I like to corner them with torps or disrupt their aiming using half of my torps for an easy approach and finishing them off with the rest of the torps.
Here's a small BB trick:

>move mouse to where you want to calibrate
>let go of right click and shoot immediately
This will fire right in front of you while giving you calibration where you want it, meaning it won't spook DDs or make it obvious what flank you want to fight on.

I prefer the Kraut subs personally. At t5+ they move BB speed when surfaced, depending on commander setup. They turn well, and submerge quickly as well. Even better is their reload speed.I need to get that torpedo damage guy upgraded to 4 stars still

Thinking on it though, it is probably due to the following:

As player says, very few times where there are two CV's on the enemy team,
In most matches I do not see the CV as a threat since most can't handle more than AFK fighters,usually dispatched with a single group and so I tend to go after harder hitting targets with the remaining TB's. Leaving the carrier struggling on while swatting his planes out of the sky and picking his team apart from underneath him.
That and in the case of TDM, I find CVcide distasteful especially when lit up at the very start, it feels like clubbing to go after such an easy target. So rather than removing repeatedly, possibly driving him away from carriers entirely. the player lives in ignorance his life spared; at least until it is taken by someone else or I feel he's run out of planes.
Though remembering those medals exist does change things. Not to mention previous behavior breeds a bad sort of CV, so who knows. Might mix it up a bit and remove CV's more often.

The enclosed space and terrain surrounding it make it a very risky option for BBs since they'll have a hard time dodging torps and getting shots on the enemy, I wouldn't recommend going there at all at the begining of a match.

If you don't trust your DD to spot the open ocean, you have to do the spotting yourself. Islands break LoS and you can surprise DDs rounding the corner
If nobody goes middle, you can still shoot over the islands, and just keep going through the channel.

Well, playing with the chinks was intresting. Their CV focused entirelly on getting fighters in the air and completely disregarded using TBs. Also their DD game was fairly weak or it was just this one chink that played asa.All of them had over 70% winrate.

After many adjustments to color and brightness, I present Zuikaku's Leyte Gulf camo scheme. (Presented in Hiryu because I still don't have Shoukaku). The green is a bit too bright but it's the closest I can get as the colors get heavily distorted, the original green I used appeared as nearly white.
