Dominions is a fantasy turn-based strategy game created by two dudes. One of them is a teacher.
The game combines a simple presentation with an extremely wide array of strategic options, including over 2800 units, 800 spells and 300 magic items. Turns are resolved simultaneously, with players planning battles rather than directly controlling them.
It has simplistic graphics but is easily moddable and extremely deep.
Basically, it's an autist’s wet dream of a strategy game.

First for alive game.
Second for do your turns.
Third for llama killing our game.
fourth for update never
Again, real sorry 'bout that Sauro. I'll send you some more gems next turn.
Wasn't necessary in the end though, looks like the Jews' miko couldn't deliver.
Is there any way to predict what a mage is going to cast during an assassination attempt based on their paths?
>>141752154
Like any unscripted mage they'll cast self-buffs and low fatigue spells.
>>141752154
If they're an elemental mage with gems, and you have the conjuration for it, you bet they'll summon them up some elementals.
Same thing with nature mages and swarm.
>>141752154
With some paths there is. Skelespam is the prominent example.
>>141751568
oh vey, would have been nice if sauro had told me you were moving up other sacred summons, all he told me was you had WoT5E there, what a shoa, this doesn't stop sanai from bein ga slut though

Most mages will opt to increase the number of combatants in the fight by a large number if they can. That usually means Horde of Skeletons, or Elementals if they have enough gems.
Otherwise they will generally prefer self buffs, and once they're done they'll try to increase body count (via Phantasmal Warrior or whatever they can cast). If not they'll cast the shittiest nuke spell they know.
Put bodyguards or gems on them if you want them to live.
>You're one of the most powerful magic users in the world
>you've spent decades of your life learning forbidden arts, hidden secrets and arcane rituals that would drive lesser men insane
>With a flick of your wrist you can call fire from the heavens and set your opponents ablaze
>Soon after being called upon by your aspiring god, an assassin ambushes you at night whilst you are walking alone
>you raise your hand to cast a spell, but you draw a blank on which one to cast
>shit
>fuck
>damn
>I know! Fire resistance!
>the assassin stabs you and you wonder why you bothered with the magic in the first place

>assassin
>stabs you
Come on now, he just summons 2 water elementals.

If a mage decides to casts useless buffs an assassin is going to kill it without any items anyway
I would not have thought of protecting a thug with enough units such that if they die the thug HP routs. Very smart, but frustrating because I wanted to kill Marignon's thug with items I gained from killing Marignon's armies.
Really wish my cavalry had actually Attacked Rear.

Witty Ermor?

Haha, yup. Not feeling particularly witty at the moment.
