Uzuki and Miho have only recently begun being pushed together by Scamco. But from what I've seen in their interactions in Deresute and the Anime (and it's supplementary materials in the NoMakes and Magic Hours), their relationship dynamic is being two peas in a pod. They see alot of their own selves in the other. And that's why they get along so well. They're kind of like two sisters in that regard.
Chieri doesn't really mesh well with the more gung-ho attitude of the two. And if we're talking about being the uneasy member in the group, then Miho already has that side covered.
Pinky Cute seems to have failed because of Chieri being a bad fit to Uzuki and Miho. The group just ended up being uneven.
I'm more optimistic about Kyoko though. Kyoko is basically a Waifu-Flavored Uzuki (inb4 redundant). If other units built upon contrast or each member fulfilling a certain niche or role, then Pink Check School's approach will be putting similar girls into one unit and going overkill on that common attribute. So goddamit Scamco, shove PCS out there now. You know the fans want it.

Also remember that you can practice three times per day for any live, so pick the ones you are having troubles. Also know you can adjust the note speeds, useful for songs that have rapid tappings (like Tokimeki Escalate).
And don't fret over being stuck in Pro. Everyone has different learning curves, so just git gud and ganbarimasu

Like other have said increase your note speed. Maybe for the benefit of the doubt you can process more notes on screen but slower tap output? But still crank it up to have wider notes distance.
Here are note speed comparisons from 8.5 to 10 and you can see how much even 0.5 difference can do. Practice in the live (you have 3 tries per day) to see which speed suits youfirst before attempting in the Groove event and possibly wasting more points.

I did a little experiment with Anzu no Uta at 8.5, it's way faster than I'm really used to. It'll be good practice but my HP hit 0 earlier than I would have liked so I'll probably drop the speed for actual progression attempts.
My other teams also have only one healer as opposed to my Passion team with 2 healers and an invincibility card, which makes me worry for Cute/Cool gooves.
