'Bout a year ago I asked a "Grand Master" why he chose to pour so much money into the game. He told me that he enjoyed the game, saw it going places, saw the company going places, and figured he'd show his support.
As it turns out the guy wasn't that bad of a dude. I still talk to him occasionally. Nowadays though he has stated before that he'll never give more money to DE, and that while he doesn't regret attaining Founder status, he really hates the direction DE have taken the game and uses his status as a Founder to actively encourage them to change how they're doing things. Even though they don't listen to him since he's not on the Design Council for one reason or another. I'm only assuming it's because he's not a shit eating turbofaggot that sucks Rebecca's toes every waking second of his miserable life.
