Using LHB right now and thinking about focusing on strength but I hear most later and better weapons are skill based. Should I try and balance both for miracle blade or something later??

To try and not spoil everything
Strength has some of the best weapons, including the Hunter's Axe and Whirligig Axe, which trivializes a lot of encounters. The Moonlight Greatsword is Strength/Arc. Both Whirligig and Moonlight are DLC weapons, but you can rush the Whirli whenever if you have the DLC. Strength is best for a first playthrough.
Insight really doesn't do much in the long run. It is mostly for currency. In fact, having too much in some areas is downright detrimental.

Living Failures. I don't see their theme getting much love. Maybe it's because they're not a particularly fantastic bossfight, but the theme is fantastic.
It's very reminiscent of Gustav Holt's 'Mars, Bringer of War'. I like their theme because, like Mars, it's very grandiose, imposing, imperial, even. It lends a sense of importance to them and they are important - I believe them to be the very experiments in making Celestial Emissaries, appearance and ability-wise. But the Failures are much, much stronger and have many more abilities. What I think they were, instead of mediums, they were one way communication devices, as it were, with the cosmos. Floodgates for cosmic wonder, but really little else, except a step in the right direction for the Byrgenwerth, and later the Healing Church's experiments.

I like how much of a contrast it is to basically any other fromsoft track, it sounds like it belongs in some horror themed puzzle game (hell, I swear I heard something extremely similar in Fran Bow) than as a track to what is potentially the final boss.
On top of that it's just very unsettling, a perfect fit for whatever the fuck the nurse is supposed to be.

Orphan bad attacks and a move set that punished the hunter for doing what he should be doing. Delayed attacks that hit you through your dodge, righty as it ended it began, combos that were heavily telegraphed but have a long enough hit box to still hit you.
TNK is the same. He punishes the player for dodging too early or too late, no point in blocking him. First phase is easy. I'm just saying - they have similar styles that everything you've been through up until this point in the game means nothing to them.

Moon presence is so easy that the fight suffers for it. All you have to do is relentlessly mash r1 the entire fight, hell the gane even pressures you into doing that because that one attacks where it drains your HP to 1 has an extended regain timer.
That aside Ludwig is my favorite in the whole series. One of the few times the camera cooperates with you when facing a large enemy. The music is great, the fight is great, the arena is great, the entire damn thing is spectacular.

Hey, anon who was asking about how BB is earlier.
Couple hours in and it's really fucking good.
Movement feels better, dodging isnt a 3 second long affair now, its bam, bam, teleports behind you, stab.
The health recovering on attacking is cool too, makes you keep fighting.
I'm really enjoying the exploration, taking a long ass path, winding and twisting and being almost dead to find out it opens a door back to the bonfire is a great feeling.
Currently fighting Father Gasgoine, I learned when to time the bullets to stun him and then he enabled axe mod. I learned the timing, he became a wolfman, I died.Please tell me it stays this good.

Beating the Cleric Beast allows you to buy a New Weapon and a Key for what is pretty much a shortcut later.

It literally stays this good, one of the areas where BB deserves praise is that there really isn't a noticeable drop in level quality ie game after Londo. And after you fight a certain boss, it takes the gloves off.
Cleric is an optional boss, spank him anyway. It gives you a bonfire that's really, really convenient for early game blood vial farming, as the wolves each drop 3 and the giant drops two.
If you haven't already, try and look around and find the crow now. Have fun!

This might not help at all but.
The fight against The Cainhurst Crow is one of the only places where the Wodden Shield can be useful, as long as you use it to exclusively block his bullets.
Have shield ready when his weapon is untransformed and switch to whatever gun of your choosing when he coats it with blood (since he cant shoot).
