I think I explained it pretty well.
You install FBI. Open it. The bottom option for QR codes. Do that.
Go to the site for titleid/keys. Click the QR button on the thing you want. Point your camera at the QR code.
Boom, ticket installed. Now on main FBI menu go to tickets. Find that titleid. Click. INSTALL FROM CDN.
Boom.

System transfer doesn't move game tickets (and title info) along, it transfers your encryption key + eShop account and gets new ones from Nintendo. It will fail to get new tickets because your account doesn't really own the game. This applies even to legit cias or tickets with valid titlekeys.
Just installing a replacement ticket after the transfer might actually fix it, but I think it'll still be missing a bunch of stuff.

So I did these steps
Open Luma3DS

After activating the "Show current NAND" and rebooting I did get back to the home menu.
However, when I went to the system settings, I did not see the firmware version say I was in RedNAND or anything like that?

The bare minimum to be able to pirate shit is being on 9.2 SysNAND with an EmuNAND (which you have by the end of part 3), following the whole guide will give you a9lh which is better but also takes more time.

I'm running Luma3DS installed by following the Plailect guide.
Just now I turned my 3DS and I find myself with the "creating home menu data" message and that I had lost everything from games to homebrew.
I nearly shat my pants, moreso when I checked and saw I was fully updated. I checked again to see if anything else worked and I can still run the Luma configuration menu when pressing select, Decrypt9 when pressing start doesn't seem to want to run at all.
I don't care about the games I lost, those are most likely lost forever so nothing I can do. What I do care about however, is finding out what the fuck happened and how can I prevent it from happening again? Does anyone has an idea of what the hell just happened and why?
How do you update a H&S injected FBI? Do you have to inject it again or is there an easier way?

Just checking again. I'm on the downgrading part of the a9lh setup, and I've downgraded my emunand to 2.1.0. Is there a way to double check that it worked? I'm just paranoid that it might cause me issues, but when I downgraded it there were no errors and it restarted my 3ds by itself. I'm using a N3DS so I can't just open it to see if it worked as it will just be a black screen.

No, that's using the bundled boot.3dsx that loads Luma directly. You'll have to make a boot entry yourself otherwise.
But there's not much reason to still use CTRBootManager with Lum having an arm9 payload loader. You can just assign loading arm9 programs (Decrypt9, Emunand9, uncart, etc) to holding keys on Luma boot. There's instructions on the wiki on how to use it.

No. TinyFormat specifically formats without alerting Nintendo's servers of the format. The regular format in system settings will unlink your NNID.

I just did it on my main one. Maybe that was my first mistake. The second mistake was turning it into a family account and then registering as many as I could.

Hey /hbg/, I haven't been keeping track of the 3DS scene for a while, and just came back to see what's up, so I've got a few quick things that I wanna make sure I've got straight. My setup is o3DS 9.2 menuhax autobooting into 10.6 emuNAND.
It's my understanding that after all is said and done A9LH allows one to quickly boot into a CFW sysNAND, and makes it viable as a primary NAND, with updates and everything. How does this compare to the relative safety of being able to update and basically take a complete shit on emuNAND while knowing that I can restore it from a backup 100% of the time. Reading around it seems like it's gonna get to the point where it's safe enough to just ditch emuNAND (or redNAND?) entirely in favor of CFW sysNAND. Second question relates to DS carts, which I was never able to boot from emuNAND, and it seems like a good chunk of people weren't able to either, basically, would a CFW sysNAND being used as a primary source for all my 3DS stuff be able to boot these without issue? I'm positive it would, since I think the issue had to do with some low level gunk where it tried to load TWL_FIRM from sysNAND or god knows what, I have no idea, but I just wanna make sure. Lastly, how advisable would it be to switch to using CFW on sysNAND and ditching emuNAND completely at this point be?

a9lh boots before sysnand, you can brick your sysnand safely and restore a backup to it with decrypt9

DS carts boot normally, i've booted pokemon white 2 on sysnand a9lh without a problem. TWL firm is automatically patched with Luma3DS, the cfw that everyone uses

if it makes you feel any better, that's pretty much exactly what you're doing whenever you do an official system update in system settings
as long as you follow the directions properly without skipping steps, you should be fine (and i believe OTPHelper does a shitton of checks in the One-Click-Setup nowadays on the 2.1 emunand before actually flashing it to your system [which is also covered in the guide])

actually they've always been able to tell people are playing .cia games online with their system headers while not owning the game on their NNID. they haven't done anything about it, but the more serious of an issue this becomes, it probably eventually will become a problem.

I've reached step 14 in part 3 of the guide, but it seems like browserhax won't work for me. It keeps reaching a point where the top screen is black and the bottom screen is red. I had used oothax to get homebrew on my o3DS, but that doesn't seem to work as an entrypoint for step 14 either.
Here's a pic of my 16GB SD card. I booted up my 3DS without realizing all the files were still in the SDHC backup folder so I moved them all to the root and merged my backup Nintendo 3DS folder with the new one that came from me booting my 3DS.
Is this where I messed up or should I just try another entrypoint/keep trying browserhax?

Check in Decrypt9 that your serial matches the one on the bottom of your console. If it does, contact Nintendo support. If it doesn't, find a NAND backup with that serial. That's what I did when I had this problem a few weeks ago, though I installed A9LH first to make sure Nintendo didn't find out anything about my hacking the system. No reason not to install A9LH at this point.

Basically you can't use the stock launcher because it's blocked by Nintendo, you need to use a custom launcher, and Apache Thunder released some custom launchers that you can use.

I heard that installing Luma 3DS is as easy as just dragging and dropping files into the SD.
I merged the folders on the SD with the files from the .rar and put in the new files. Am I really set? AuReiNand had to download firmwares and other things. It seems way too easy compared to Cakes and easier than the AuReiNand installation.

1) extract your own SecureInfo_A and modify the byte highlighted in pic to target region in https://3dbrew.org/wiki/Nandrw/sys/SecureInfo_A (ex: 01 for US target, 02 for EU, etc), rename it into SecureInfo_C
2) run sysupdater on an emunand with target region's update files

It sounds like when setting up A9LH you formatted through System Settings so your NNID is unlinked on Nintendo's server. Easiest way to fix this is dumping your NNIDsave.bin with decrypt9, fill it with zeros (on HxD you select all, Fill Selection, put 00s) and reimport it (keep a backup just in case).

There is some online cheat to modify your city map/edit your inventory/ turning your villager into other villager and changing their furniture
To prevent that the game check if your save is uptodate(like if your cheated save is older than your current save the game tell you its corrupted and wipe it) if you overwrite your current game with your cheated one then you lose all your progress(speaking from experience)

It's fine, there was a bug in the inject generator in the first few days of FBI 2 being out, that's long been fixed. It's definitely closer to the limits and it's possible that a future version won't fit though.
Having that said, installing it separately is highly recommended because it's under constant development with actually-useful features being added every other day. Just throw the H&S one next to the other 3DS crap you can't remove.

No no, once you're booted into emunand, you go into the system settings whilst in emunand and update from there.
If you're in the emunand's System Settings, the firmware version reported should have some sort of obvious difference distinguishing it from the sysnand version.
Keep in mind that exiting out of System Settings always kicks you back to Sysnand, but updating emunand this way is safe.
If you accidentally update the Sysnand you're fucked, so always double-check.
