To those buying Uncharted, what are your concerns?
I have four:
1. The underwater gameplay (it was awkward in TLOU if I recall correctly)
2. The rope (seems like something that's bound to glitch out)
3. AI (I don't think TLOU's AI was utterly atrocious as some people say, but enemy encounters in U4 beyond the typical set piece look more dynamic--will it be smart on hard difficulties, or just bullshit?)
4. Puzzles (self-explanatory after the three games)
Story can go either way, I'm just excited to see Nolan North and Troy Baker bounce off each other.

The thing is that mgs5 has goat tier gameplay, literally one of the best i have ever seen, so i was okay with it. Im afraid Uncharteds will not be up to that level, so kinda like you, the rope stuff. I don't think HD collections are a bad thing, but yes, constantly bringing them over is a problem. for example bringing the bioshock collection over is allright, that was only last gen and having them all together would be neat. but releasing stuff every gen is a pain in the ass. Nioh seems to have issues with "worn" controllers, my character will randomly stop moving at vertical L-Stick directions. Plus X for dodge always works, but it will stop/start at random when sprinting. This controller has absolutely no issues with any other games.

that's a controller problem, not the game. I get it in dark souls a lot, pressing directly forard on the left stick will sometimes only register as if I was slightly pushing it, so the character walks instead of runs. the other directions are fine and it can be temporarily fixed by blowing hard into the part where the stick sits.
I'm pretty pissed with the ds4's longevity, this is the third controller. the first one had the rubber on the sticks erode away to fucking nothing, my backup one had the R2 trigger just totally stop working, now this. Each one lasting about 6 months. I'm so careful with them too.

Oh, umm back in the day SNK cabinets were the cheapest around and came loaded with multiple games. So arcade owners in SA, wanting to stretch their buck, would get the SNK cabinets instead of the more expensive solo-game playing Capcom/Taito/etc.. cabinets. You misunderstood me. I agree that games shouldn't be bound to a platform, but I completely understand people who feel that their "investment" isn't paying off when games that they thought would be exclusive turn out to be multiplatform.
Nobody with half a brain would get a PS4 if you could play 100% of its library on a $400 PC for free. Home consoles nowadays are pretty much obsolete from a technical standpoint.

So my ps4 controller has been broken for a while, a bit in the R2 button broke, its a known issue and can sorta be fixed but that would leave it not as clicky.
My question is, have newer ps4 controllers had any improvements made?
Is this R2 button problem still a problem with newer ones?

I'm asking because I can go buy a black ps4 controller now pretty cheap, but if the newer ones are better then I may wait for the grey/blue Uncharted 4 one and pay a little extra cash.

I had bad luck with my controllers; each one suffered the tearing rubber problem, even though I wash my hands and I'm not playing for hours upon hours at a time. Went through three black controllers (one replaced by Sony themselves) before I said fuck it, and bought the 20th anniversary one. Figured since it was new, there's no chance of the rubber tearing again. That was months ago. The sticks haven't peeled. Oh, and the L2/R2 buttons aren't squeaky anymore, no need to keep blowing into the crease.
